are there many people who goes to iit with 75% in board exam?

Sakshi Khodke 21st Sep, 2020

Hello,

HRD Minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank on Friday, 17 July announced that the basic criteria of scoring at least 75% marks or ranking among the top 20 percentile in class 12 board exams for admissions in IITs has been relaxed for this year, since many examinations could not be conducted due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The minister took to Twitter to make the announcement.

However, if you secure less than 75% in boards you cant get admission in IIT colleges.

Hello Aspirant,

Getting admission into various colleges depending upon NATA and JEE scores are different from each other seeing their criteria for admission.

You can use our college predictor link given below to view the preferred college available for you,

https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-architecture-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

For taking admission into colleges accepting JEE scores for paper 2 , you must see that your rank and category is also considered alongside seat availability , exam difficulty level , no. of students appeared, and previous years cutoff trends. You can see the previous years cutoff trends of various NITs and some other institute accepting JEE paper 2 score for Architecture,

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-cutoff-for-b-arch-b-planning

Since Kerala is your home state, you can see NIT Calicut as your main option using paper 2 JEE score.

Taking admission into a college accepting NATA score, you must sse your 12th score and NATA cutoff trends .

You can see the list of colleges available for you which accept NATA score given below,

https://engineering.careers360.com/colleges/list-of-government-engineering-colleges-in-india-accepting-nata

For your home state , you can apply into colleges like Rajiv Gandhi Institute of Technology which accept NATA score.

Hope that helps. Good luck

I have score 270 marks in pcm in gujrat board exam, how many marks I have to score in gujcet to get into daiict,Nirma ??my category is st.

Pakshal Ghiya 30th Oct, 2020

Hey there,

Your chances of getting admission into to those colleges are dependent upon your ACPC merit rank.

You have scored well in the PCM exam which has 60 % of criteria and in GUJCET there's 40%

So,Your Ideal marks should be 80 to 100.

But you can also take admission there via JEE. 50 % of seats are filled via ACPC merit rank and the raised can be filled by JEE Merit.

Hi,I belong to OBC category and i also have the document .But i by mistake put General category in my 2020 class 12th board exam. Will there be any problem in getting college (NEET) .what should i mention in my Neet 2021 form ....or what should i do...

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 20th Sep, 2020

Anish, if you have a valid OBC Certificate and you have filled in OBC as your Category in the NEET application form, you are fine. So it is important to know which Category have you filled in your NEET application form. If you filled your Category as General Category, then you cannot avail OBC benefits. But if you have filled in OBC as your Category in your NEET application form, then you are fine and you can avail OBC benefits. This is for 2020 and for NEET 2021, as you have OBC certificate, you should check if the Community you belong to is listed in the Central OBC list. If yes, then you can select your Category as OBC or else, you have to fill it as General Category.

For NEET 2021 do the qualifying marks of equivalent exam mean the marks of 12 th board exam for droppers if they have not joined any other courses or the marks of NEET 2020 will be assumed as euivalent exam marks?

handukanika 20th Sep, 2020

Hello,
Yes you are right for a dropper the qualifying marks of equivalent exam mean the marks of 12th board exam and not previous year neet exam or any other course they had applied too.

For eligibility minimum 60% is required for general category and minimum 50% for obc,sc,st categories with PCB as major subjects.

You can use careers360 college predictor to know the colleges you can get at your NEET score;-
