sir i had obtained 60percentage in 12th tamil nadu board exam.but in jee b arch i got 76 and b plan 79 in jee mains2020.whether i can get colleges in niit and other colleges in sc catogory.

Rishi Garg 16th Jul, 2020

As the the board criteria for getting admission on the basis of JEE Main B.Arch/B.Planning, the candidate must have secured an aggregate of at least 50% in his/her respective board exams. So, as you have scored 60%, you satisfy this criteria to get admission.

Now, to get admission on the basis of these two exams, you will have to apply for JoSAA counselling, and then on the basis of your rank, you will get admission into some of the NITs.

Hope it helps.

Sir I am a SC_PWD candidate I have scored 39.6393106 percentile in keep main and I have scored 338 marks in TN board exam then what are the colleges eligible for me ?

Rishi Garg 16th Jul, 2020

There are two main criteria to get admission into one of the NITs. One is to satisfy the board criteria and the other is JEE Main percentile/rank.

So, as you said, you have scored 338 then it calculates above 65% (out of 500), so you clearly satisfy the board eligibility criteria.

So, you can apply for JoSAA Counselling, on the basis of your rank and your category, you will get allotted a particular branch in a particular college as per the choices filled by you in the application.

Hope it helps.

Hello
There is the minimum eligibility criteria for the admission in the NIT's, that the candidate must have  75% of the marks or above in class or else must be in the top 20 percentile of the class 12 board. And for Sc/st 65% in class 12. This is must for the candidates to get admission into the NIT's.

I have 74.6% in my 12 board exam because I have 65 marks in Chemistry and 70 in physics, so if I will give only these 2 subjects improvement exam in 2021 then these 2 subjects marksheet will be accepted by iits/nits/bitsat during admission or I have to give all 5 subjects improvement exam?

Prachi Pant 31st Oct, 2020

Hey

The improvement exam is given for the specific subject only in which you wish to improve your grades, better than your original ones. It's not required that you have to give improvement exam for every subject.

In the subjects you feel that your marks need to be improved, just fill up the improvement exam for the particular subject.

Thanks

i have got 74.67 percent in my 12th board exam . can i get any collage in nit if i crack jee mains with good marks??

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 15th Jul, 2020

Hello

Can you please help with your category please?

To be eligible for admission in NITs one needs at least  75% marks in aggregate in class 12 if belong to general or obc category or at least  65% marks if belongs to SC/ST or  must be in the top 20 percentile in  class 12 examination.

Now , tou have got 74.6 percent i.e less than 75% so you are not eligible for NITs if you belong to general /obc category but if you belong to Sc or St category then you are eligible for NIT as your percentage is greater than 65%
