I want application details about jadavpur university,Kolkata. Is there any management quota in university? I want to pursue btech CSE in jadavpur university Can I get admission by my board marka without written any entrance exam like WBJEEE,since I had got 975/1000 in my board exams.

Atul Singh 29th Jul, 2021

Dear Kathikeya,

If you wants to take admission in Jadavpur University in BE/B.tech course the there is not any other option to take admission without WBJEE, you need to appear in this exam, and also there is not any management quota seat in this university, the only option is WBJEE for all engineering courses.

And if you want to take admission in other courses then you are eligible with your 12th marks, you don't need to give any exam for that, they create the merit list for admission by your 12th percentage.

Good Luck :)

i got 90% in board exams can i get seat in integrated mtech course in vellore campus please answer to this question

Akshita Dhiman 17th Jun, 2021

Hi there,

The eligibility for integrated Mtech is as follows:

A candidate requires an aggregate of 65% in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) for general and 55% for the SC/ST category.

There are a total of 300 seats available in the course. Getting a seat depends on the number of candidates who apply and the number of candidates who have scored more than you. It certainly raises the stakes to get admission.

You are however eligible and can apply for the course but it doesn't guarantee a seat and to predict it at this point is extremely difficult. It is solely based on the factors listed above.

Additionally, you could also get in touch with the Admissions Office of VIT Vellore and enquire about the cut-off.

Phone : +91-416-220 2188, Mail : pgadmission@vit.ac.in (mailto:pgadmission@vit.ac.in)

Please access the below link for additional details:

I hope this information helps you.

For any further queries, please write back.

Thank you and good luck!

I got 91 percent In intermediate board exams can get seat in sastra college of ece group

Aman Mishra 23rd Jun, 2021

Hello,

The procedure of taking admission in any particular college depends on many factors. So seeing at your boards percentage it is very good but ya for taking admissions in any reputed University you have to first clear their entrance exam with the good score so that your chance of getting admission in the college increases. To get admission in Sastra deemed University you have to first apply for JEE main entrance exam and the score of it will going to decide whether you will be getting your desired field of not. Talking about ECE branch it is quite good branch and has a high demand among the students, so everyone try their level best to get in it.

Thank you..

I got 91 percentage in board exams can I get seat in sastra college tanjaur or kumbakonam

Megha Bele 16th Jun, 2021

Hi aspirant,

The admission in this college is purely dependent on the merit base. Also it depends on the number of seats in that particular course.

Generally the applicant must fulfil the following -

The applicant must have a minimum aggregate of 60% in the first attempt in 12th grade with Physics, Maths, and Chemistry as subjects, or Bio-Technology, Computer Science, or Biology as subjects, from any recognized board.

You can go to their official website for more.

Hope that helps.

I got 91 percentage in board exams which group will I get and also can I get seat in sastra college

suchayitaanusaha 2nd Jul, 2021

Hello,

You get 91 percentage in board examination but which board examination you didn't mention above..is it 10thbor 12th. But I guess it's 12th class result because you got seat in Sastra college.

Sastra college is good engineering college in Tamilnadu. But which group you want it's not clear in above question. I think you want to know which engineering stream you want to take. Look if you are science student and take engineering then there are so many options.. infact so many courses are offer in Sastra college. Like

  • BTech in CSE
  • BTech in biotechnology
  • BTech in aerospace engineering
  • BTech in mechanical engineering
  • BTech in ECE
  • BTech in bioinformatics
  • BTech in mechatronics engineering
  • Integrated BTech+Mtech
  • BTech in bioengineering
  • BTech in chemical engineering
  • BTech in EEE
  • BTech in civil engineering etc

Now you have to decide which department you want to go. Because career path is totally yours. But I'll tell you if you are interested in air life like plane then go aerospace, if you interested in machine go for mechanical, if you interested in construction building then go for civil, if you are interested in computer go for CSE, interested in electronics then go for ECE or eee, if you are interested in biology and chemistry as well then go this related engineering course. Now decision is totally yours think and act accordingly.

All the best.

i got 95% in board exams and 86 percentile in jee mains.can i get ece in sastra

Virat Srivastava 14th Jun, 2021

Dear candidate, In Sastra there is no minimum board cutoff or minimum percentile required in JEE. It is based on 12th percentage and jee main marks sastra will calculate like this:

12th percentage * 0.75+jee main mark * 0.25

It will be out of 165 marks. Then a merit list will be prepared. It is clearly visible that 75% percent marks are from boards and 25% marks of JEE. You need to have good JEE score and high in boards. A minimum of 90+ marks in JEE and 95%+ marks in boards will keep you on safer side. Chances are less. However, cutoff may vary due to some reasons:

  • Difficulty level of JEE
  • Number of candidates appeared in exam
  • Number of seats in college this time.

Hope, it helps!
