i took drop for one year after my 12th board exams to prepare for jee is it necessary for me to apply for a gap certificate? please answer

Esita Sau 20th Sep, 2020
Hello there,
The gap certificate is required at the time of admission. As per my knowledge gap certificate is not required during application. Don't be so worried about these secondary documents. You can give Undertaking for those documents in the institute. Generally a 15 days time period is given to students and that can also be extended further. These colleges are government institutions and work like them.
Hope this answer helps!
Good luck
Thank you.

AKSHAYA.V.A. 26th Oct, 2020

Hello!

Sastra University Kumbakonam have very good placement record so far. It is a three years course. As it is a deemed university they will not ask for high cutoff. 50% cut off is required. The overall rating is excellent. Excellent infrastructure , friendly and talented teaching faculties. Top recruiting companies are Wipro and Infosys. ALL THE BEST.  Hope the answer was helpful.

THANK YOU

Yash Kamal Chaturvedi 23rd Oct, 2020

Hey friend!

Congratulations for scoring 93% in board marks . On the basis of your jee rank . It is impossible for you to get NIT'S etc. But if you are not branch specific . You can easily get mechanical or civil in the state government colleges of your respective state due to home state Quota .

To get more information about college based on your rank , category and home state . Kindly click on the link given below .

I didnt secure 50% in my 12th board exams, but I still want to give neet or aiims etc. Is there anyway to become eligible to sit in the exam? Can I take admission in Bsc and secure good marks in the first year of it and then give the exam? Will this make me eligible to sit in aiims mbbs exam?

Sanket Mhaske 22nd Oct, 2020

Go for class improvement exam of your board score at least 50 % in it. At counselling Boards marks are not that important but for securing better college you should be eligible in all criteria.

Class improvement exam will come with next year appearing students and you'll get a new marksheet. Only issue in improvement exams is you will need to apply for all the exams

I have got 629 marks in board exams with compartmental status . I belongs to St category I got good marks in mains . and I have registered in josaa admission to. can i get admission into nit. my fear is about my ipe marks and qualifying eligibility

ANUVAB DAS 21st Oct, 2020

You have to pass in all the subjects of class 12th in order to get admission in NITs, IIITs, IITs and other GFTIs. Compartment status means you have not passed in all the subjects and it is not possible for you to get admission in this situation.

This year for the pandemic the 75% criteria in 12th exam was abolished. But next year it will return I think. So if you eagerly want to do engineering you need to pass the exam with 75% to be on the safe side.

Hope for the best. Good luck.

This year will i need 75% in board to get admission in NITSs if i have good rank in JEE Mains? Or is 75% criteria in board exams not needed for this year for NITs as stated by Dr.Ramesh Pokhriyal??

S. Saha Student Expert 11th Sep, 2020
Along with qualifying Jee Main, there was another criteria for being eligible for Jee Advanced and admission to NITs and oyher centrally funded technical Institutes and that is the candidates must have secured at least 75% aggregate marks in Class 12. 5% relaxation in marks for Sc, St and pwd candidates. Or the candidates should be within top 20 percentile of their respective Class 12 boards.

But this year it's different. As all the subjects of class 12 of several boards have not conducted and marks have been provided on the basis of internal assessment and previous exam marks, many students have affected by these. So this year, the criteria of at least 75% or top 20 percentile has been withdrawn and those who have qualified Jee Main cutoffs, will be eligible to write Jee Advanced. And those who meet the cutoffs of Various NITs, will get admission irrespective of their 12 th score. Candidates just need to show their intermediate passing certificate. But this criterion has been withdrawn only for this year.
