Manidipa Kundu Student Expert 5th Jun, 2020

hi,

see you did not mention your category, for general category candidates eligibility criteria is 10+2 with at least 70% marks in aggregate and 75% marks in Mathematics,

for sc/st candidates eligibility criteria is 10+2 with at least 52% marks in aggregate and 56% marks in Mathematics,

for obc candidates eligibility criteria is 10+2 with a minimum of 63% marks in aggregate and 67% marks in Mathematics,

so  for any of the category you are not  eligible.

if I get 90 percentage in board and 50 marks in k cet what rank can i expect?

S. Saha Student Expert 4th Jun, 2020
For calculating the rank, 50% of boards marks and 50% of KCET marks are taken into consideration. 50 marks in KCET won't help you to get into a good college. It is difficult to predict any rank as there are few deciding factors. However, If you get around 50 marks in KCET then your expected rank would be around 40,000 to 50,000.

if i am passed 2018 but i cant get good score i wish i am repeat my board these year then can i eligible for vit, srmjee etc??

Udit Narayan 1st Jun, 2020

Hello Gaurav,

Yes if you repeat your 12th these year and score good marks than you can study in some good colleges and also can apply for VIT and SRMJEE if you have a good score in those exams too and stand in a good rank or position than you will be eligible for studying in those university.

All it matters is if you can explain your 2 years gap and also if you can score really well in their exams.

All the best.

I hope it helps.!

what are the advantage of getting good marks in class 12 board examination (as lakhs of students get)...well do they end up in a good college in India based on their board marks only or they need to apply for other exams too?!

Mayank Chowdhary 1st Jun, 2020

It all depends on what career you're opting for. If you want to pursue some medical courses like MBBS, BAMS, BHMS, BPT, BVSC then you need the qualifying marks in 12th board exams which is around 60% marks only. And the exam that will decide your admission will be only NEET entrance exam. If you want to choose Engineering, then CET, JEE exams decide your future. And similarly, if you want to opt for BSC courses, then surely 12th boards marks will help you.

Kindly feel free to ask in the comments section about what actually you are aiming for and thus I can guide you in a much better way.

Thank you. Best wishes.

can iit conduct disability percentage verification by medical board after jee adavnce in corona pandemic ?

Aastha jain 31st May, 2020

Hi Aditya

There has been no clarification from the IITs regarding this. But being the premier institutes of the country, I don't think they would change their policies even for an exceptional situation such as this one, and things are likely to proceed as they always have, just a bit delayed, and rushed with.

Rajib 12th Jan, 2024

You got 401 out of 500? That too with grace mark in physics and chemistry which is impossible to get because grace marks are given to pass the subject, even if we count 100+100+100+45+45 ,you still don't have 401 then how did u got 401?

NILUTPOL Student Expert 29th May, 2020
Hello,
Except for BITSAT, BITS offers direct admission to only the toppers of each respective central and state boards. The students get the freedom to choose any course of their choice across the three campus. Other than that there is no other way to get into BITS. It is one of the top private engineering college in India with its quality as par as IITs.
Hope it helps
