Admission to B.E/B.Tech in any discipline Thiagarajar College of Engineering  is based on merit in TNEA. The admission is done through single window counselling by Anna University. It does not accept accept JEE Main Paper 1 score. The admission is solely based on marks scored in Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry. The eligibility criteria is that a candidate must have passed 10+2 or its equivalent with Mathematics, Physics and Chemistry as mandatory subjects along with any vocational subjects from the following

According to the eligibility criteria for UGC-NET, the candidate must have qualified or should be in the final year of their masters degree. Also, they must have minimum 55% marks in their masters degree while there is a relaxation of 5% for candidates with reservation. Also, it is preferable for the candidate to appear for the exam in which post graduation was done.
