Calcutta University
Hello,
Last year admission for integrated law program that is BA-LLB in Calcutta University of Hazra Campus was done based on the merit of the qualifying examination, no entrance test was conducted, this was perhaps due to the pandemic, however prior to it the admission was done through entrance test for two and half hours for 100 marks in offline mode having sections such as general english, general awareness/current affairs, general maths, verbal and non-verbal reasoning etc, if the situation this year is conducive enough then the university may conduct entrance test, you will get the complete details from the official website only, hence to know the exact information stay updated at http://www.caluniv.ac.in/,
Nope! The change of stream isn't allowed by the Calcutta University. If you wish to continue with the Computer Science then You have to take admission in the BSc Computer Science from the starting i.e., from the 1st semester. Now if you go for the BSc Physics then also you get quite a wide range of program skills such as Python in the paper of Mathematical Physics in your 1st semester and 3rd semester. In your 4th semester also, there are some complex python coding and data handling in Quantum Mechanics. In your semester 5 you will get quite a good knowledge of simulations using Python in Statistical Mechanics. This courses are quite good and as you learn them you can take admission in the MSc Data Science as well. So if you want you may not change your stream. But if you are not interested in Physics and want to shift, then you can obviously go for the course of BSc Computer Science but you have to take admission in the 1st year.

Hello Aspirant,
See it depends upon the course in which you are enrolled and also on the college in which you are seeking admission. Because in course like B.Tech. there is an option of lateral entry through which you can get direct admission to 2nd year of the program, provided that you must have completed diploma before your first year or as you qualifying examination. As per New Education Policy you are allowed to change course as well as college in mid of the course but it is not yet implemented pan India, so I would recommend you to go through the rules of your college regarding admission withdrawal during the ongoing course.
I hope this information helps you.
Good Luck!!

Dear candidate as we know, Calcutta University is one of the Prestigious Institutions of India, so here usually the marks requirement remain high. For B.Sc Mathematics you need minimum 90% marks to ensure your seat. However since you got 80.6% that too from CBSE board, your chances of admission remain low. But wait for their final list and if seats remain vacant you may get admission. By that time do search for some other good Institutions rather than relying on one college.
Hope it helps!!
Good luck!!
