Yes,ofcourse you can do MSc in microbiology .
Ypu can do any masters degree in science whether it is biotechnology or biochemistry or microbiology .
But essentially yourgraduation stream should be science whether it from zoology or botany or chemistry or microbiology or medical microbiology e.t.c

There isn't any fixed number of seats in the IISERs.
The maximum number of seats is allocated to the Biology stream while the minimum is given for Maths.
The number of students getting admitted into Physics and Chemistry Departments is intermediate.
