I got 62% in 12th class and compartment in mathematics and chemistry can i get direct admission in btech cse in any private college

Tanisha chaudhary 14th May, 2025

HEY THERE!!

Yes, you may obtain direct entry in BTech Computer Science Engineering (CSE) in few private colleges despite 62% in 12th and compartment in Mathematics as well as in Chemistry, but with significant conditions:

  • Private Colleges Admission: There are numerous private engineering colleges in India that admit BTech (CSE) directly without any entrance exams, particularly under the management quota or merit seats.
  • Top Colleges: Top colleges such as Sharda University, Amity University, Chandigarh University, JSS Academy, IIMT Group of Colleges, and Jagannath University have been known to provide direct admissions.

What do you have to do:

  1. Call the admissions department of private colleges you want to join. Most will admit provisionally but will ask for your final pass certificate before they confirm your seat.
  2. Keep your documents handy and verify each college's individual requirements.

In short:

You are eligible for direct entry in private colleges for BTech CSE, but you need to clear your compartment exams and provide your pass certificate to confirm your seat.

i got 61% in total in class 12 . 60 in maths ,54 in physics and 35 in chemistry. can i get B.pharm in jadavpur university and what ranks and marks are required in WBJEE for that.I am a SC catagory student

Deepthi Pradeep 23rd Aug, 2025

Scoring 61% in Class 12 with 60% in Mathematics, Physics, and Chemistry opens up several university options, especially in Bengaluru. Institutions like Christ University and Bennett University typically require a minimum of 60% in aggregate for admission to their undergraduate programs . However, some universities may have specific subject-wise requirements.

For example, BITS Pilani mandates at least 60% in each of Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with a 75% aggregate in these subjects . Similarly, IISERs require a minimum of 60% in aggregate in Class 12 for eligibility.

It's advisable to check the specific eligibility criteria of each university you're interested in. Additionally, preparing for entrance exams like JEE Main or VITEEE can further enhance your admission prospects.

Dear student!

As per the Jadavpur university Kolkata eligibility criteria for b Pharma is class 12 + WBJEE. Therefore you need to pass class 12th which you already have and clear the WBJEE with a good rank to get admission in your desired course.

Failed in Maths and Chemistry in CBSE Class 12 2025 exam. Am I eligible for Compartment ? My 6 subjects are PCMB + english + physical education. And Chemistry was showing in my optional subject in the result.

Saumya Tripathi 11th Jun, 2025

Based on the latest CBSE guidelines, if you failed in Maths and Chemistry in your Class 12 exams (2025), you are likely eligible for the compartment exams, provided you passed in at least four other subjects. Here’s what you need to know:

Eligibility: Since you have six subjects (PCMB + English + Physical Education), failing in two subjects (Maths and Chemistry) while passing the other four makes you eligible for the compartment.

Optional Subject: Even if Chemistry was marked as an "optional" subject in your result, it still counts toward your overall performance.

Next Steps:You can register for the compartment exams once CBSE releases the official notification (usually shortly after the results). Focus on preparing for Maths and Chemistry to clear them in the compartment.

Don’t worry—many students bounce back from this! Check CBSE’s official website for updates or consult your school for exact dates and procedures. You’ve got this!

Aryan 16th Jul, 2025

Hi dear candidate,

If you are from CBSE board then, they follow the best 5 policy which means that you can club any 5 together except you can not exclude English as it is compulsory.

However, keep in mind that several courses like B.Tech, B.Sc etc. specifically requires PCM marks so you can not use music subject as additional subject there.

In my cbse 2025 result i got dot 75%(375 marks ), (English -77, Mathematics -86, Physics -65, Chemistry -61, Physical education -86)and i am in general category, so am i eligible for nit and iit councilling

Mahima Sinha 16th Jul, 2025

Congratulations on achieving a 75% (375 marks) in your CBSE Class 12 examinations. Your performance in Mathematics and Physical Education is particularly commendable, with both at 86 marks.

To address your query regarding eligibility for NIT or IIT counselling under the General category:

Eligibility for NITs/IIITs/GFTIs via JEE Main:

Candidates must either secure a minimum of 75% in Class 12 or be in the top 20 percentile of their respective board. You have already met the 75% criterion, so you satisfy this requirement.

Eligibility for IITs via JEE Advanced:

Candidates first need to qualify JEE Main and be among the top 2.5 lakh candidates. After that, qualifying JEE Advanced is required. In addition, a minimum of 75% in Class 12 is necessary, which you have already achieved.

In summary, you are eligible for both JEE Advanced and JoSAA counselling for IITs, NITs, IIITs, and related institutions.

Next Steps:

With your board eligibility confirmed, the focus should now be on achieving a competitive rank in JEE Main and JEE Advanced to maximize your options during counselling. If you require assistance with college prediction, rank analysis, or guidance on potential branches, feel free to reach out.

Best wishes for your future academic pursuits.

I was passed in my 2024 in my 5 subject in 12th there was a back in maths so I give a improvement in all 6 subjects It showing in website that I got back in physics chemistry and maths so what did I should do now can I clear my maths back

Abhilasha Agrawal 18th Jul, 2025

CBSE considers the latest result final, even if it's worse. You should apply for re-evaluation or verification if you think there's any mistake. If Maths still shows compartment, you can appear for the next compartment exam, likely in July–August 2025. Visit your school or contact CBSE for clarification and further steps.
