The eligibility criteria mentioned by the official website is as follows:

1.All candidates admitted through JAM should have a Bachelor’s degree.(Anything is possible like zoology,botany,chemistry....etc.)

2.In the qualifying degree, the aggregate marks or CGPA/CPI without rounding-off (taking into account all subjects, including languages and subsidiaries, all years combined)

Chemistry is one of the scoring subjects after biology, I feel. To score 100+ in chemistry, NCERT reference is a must !
As Chemistry is divided into 3 sections - Physical, Organic and Inorganic. You should study according to the weight age of a particular section.

TIFR because in tifr there is world class facilities to do research .
In TIFR many students who are pursuing their post doc from MIT or Stanford told the Labs in TIFR are comparable to their foreign labs.

Hello dear aspirant,
To get into the vitee you should have scored a minimum of 60 percent marks in physics, chemistry, mathematics/biology if one belongs to the general category. For unreserved category , a relaxation of percentage of 10 is accepted, i.e. they can apply with 50 percent.

You can even move to comerce or arts stream.

Medical/ finance/ language. Etc
