Your changes of getting this course at this much score in CUSAT examination is very low. You should better apply for other colleges through other examinations that you have given this year. You should go for private colleges also, some of these are :

Chandigarh University

Pesit college

Lpu college

SRM college etc.

Well you scored very good rank but I think that this rank is not much sufficient for getting admission in cusat under the cusat cat entrance examination for MSC this is analysis is totally based on the last few years result and cutoff trends..

So you must work more for this or go for another college..

Yes you will get admission because in some of the branches like Kuttanad and Ernakulam the Closing rank goes down to 6800 and with your rank you will also get CSE.

Well their are very limited seat in msc in the college under cusat entrance examination so cutoff are quite high but at this rank you have very low chances but I would suggest you that you must attend the councelling may you get seat in this. Hope you get your answer..

For SOE Cochin, last year's closing rank was 6k for general category so it is difficult to get admission in it. You can check the cutoff list for last year in link given below.

fairly dpeaking at this rank you cannot get any seats in general counselling. you chances are really less. however there are some management quota under every college. but fees are really high. you need to have a discussion with the college authority if you opts for management quota.

i suggest you attend all the rounds of counselling. and there is always spot admission round happens. you may get a seat through spot round, but may be you need to compromise your branch.

Congratulations on scoring well in your entrance test. Speaking of the cutoff for 2019 in Cochin university, the merit list and the expected cutoff list will be out in the month of June 2019. So you will have to wait and see whether you can qualify or no. Also a student from Kerala usually gets a 5% relaxation from the cutoff mark if he is not from the elite class.
