Well you scored a good rank in cusat entrance examination but it is not sufficient to fix a seat in the colleges under the cusat entrance examination for admission in ms-bs course. You have less possibility to get seat for this course but you should attend the councelling till Last round may you get the seat for it..

According to last years cut of it is difficult for you to get a seat in specific college as you are around the cutoff line. I mean ou are near the cutoff rank.

I will suggest you that you should be pro-active and stay updated with every official notiication till the last round as you may get a seat in last round councelling.

Your changes of getting the CSE branch at CUSAT main campus is very low with this much score of 3303 rank. If you want the CSE branch then you will have to score under 300 rank in CUSAT to get the main campus CSE branch. You can get branches like chemical and civil engineering at other campus with this much score.

Every year cutoff changes and it depends on the questions difficulty level,number of participants,seat matrix etc.Honestly speaking, there is a fair chance that you’ll get admission in CUSAT with 8517 rank but you won’t be getting a lot of choices in the branch.

At the same time you might get admission in one of the CUSAT campus because I have seen people with general ranks upto 7k-8k getting admissions.

 Sorry to inform but with this rank it is not possible to get admission in your desired college with mechanical branch. But you must not lose hope. You did all you could do. It was just not your day. You may try for other colleges and excel there. Afterall what matters is how much hard work you have put in.

According to your rank you might be eligible for Information and communication branch but still it is difficult to get admission because of your rank. You can try other colleges also. But you have to face difficulties in getting admission in the good branches and colleges. Though do not get disappointed there is a hope and go for your good future.

Yes sir, i would like to give you brief as follows:

I was selected through Interview. I scored well in the interview. I chose this college because of its student-friendly atmosphere and the excellence of the teaching faculty there. Moreover, Amrita has a huge reputation for being good at academics and research.

The fee structure is really expensive compared to other colleges in Kerala.But I would say it is worth it because of the quality education there. It costs around 2 lakhs per year for an Integrated MA student staying in hostel including the hostel fee.

We have a fully functioning placement cell which has connections with top job providers in the nation and abroad. Many of the students got great campus placements in top companies with fancy salary. But I did not apply for campus placements as I had other plans in mind.
