No candidates who didn't apply for CDS 1 can apply for CDS 2 there is no such rule that only those candidates who applied for CDS 1 can apply for CDS 2. For different courses the age criteria is different. For Indian Military Academy (IMA) and Indian Naval Academy (NA) the age limit is 19 to 24 years, For Air Force Academy (AFA) the age limit is 20 to 24 years and for Officers Training Academy the age limit is 19 to 25 years. Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) conducts CDS for candidates who wish to pursue their career as commissioned officers in Navy, Air Force and Army after graduation or candidates appearing in their final year.

Actually only e after you complete your ten plus two level u can not go for CDS examination you have to complete your graduation. And actually in reality your 10 plus two level marks does not matter to be eligible for this examination. But you should have a solid reason to get this marks, because you may have to you tell about that in SSB interview.

UPSC CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year to recruit young officers in indian armed forces Army,Navy & Air force.
Main eligibility for CDS is graduation in any stream and there is not any percentage bar as well.
NO,as per educational qualification you can not apply being 2nd year student however in 3rd year you can apply as appearing candidate.

As per the latest eligibility criteria of CDS 2020, the candidates between 20 to 24 years are eligible to give this exam.
You are 23 now and you are going to be of 24 years on 5 March 2021, so you are eligible for the respective exam in each and every course ranging from IMA to OTA.

Both exams have diffence of mathematics sections. Also, nda is based on 10+1 and 10+2 syllabus whereas CDS is undergraduation based. However both have a section of general knowledge, which is almost same in both exam, but the pattern of asking questions may vary. So it is advisable to check some of the previous years papers.
