Hey Pratibha
To be eligible for Combined Defense Services (CDS) you need to have completed your degree from a recognized degree, and with a reappear in your second year you might not get your degree completed and hence won't be eligible for CDS.
You can attempt CDS until 25 years of age, and once your graduation is complete you can definitely apply for the same in Officers Training Academy (OTA - Women, Non-Technical) . So you may finish your graduation and apply for CDS soon after that.

A separate merit list is prepared for NCC Cadets who have "C" Certificate. You have to apply for SSB which happens twice a year. So through SSB, you can get into OTA. But for that you should have completed your Graduation in any discipline with a minimum aggregate of 50% and should be between 19-25 years. But if you are still in our 2nd year of Bachelor's degree, you need to wait until the next year.

Dear Srujana,
Thank you for your query. If you have a NCC C certificate then you have a lot of benefits when it comes to the CDS Exams. The C certificate gives you priviledge over others who are attempting the CDS Exam.
