how much marks does one que carry for ota female gk and english section 120 que for 100 marks and what is neg marks offered for same

Hi

There will be a total of 100 questions in English and , carrying 1 mark each and similarly there will be a total of 100 questions in GK carrying 1 mark each

You can check the marking scheme provided below for OTA , CDS examination

  • Each question in CDS exam carries 4 options, out of which only 1 option will be correct  and +1 marks will be awarded to you for each correct option.
  • For incorrect answer, 1/3 marks will be deducted
  • More than one option marked will be treated as incorrect
  • If a question is left unanswered there will be no negative marking

Hello,

According to the age eligibility criteria you are only eligible for Indian Military Academy and Officers Training Academy through CDS.

For IMA a candidate's age must in between 19 to 24 years, born earlier than January 2, 1997 and not later than January 21, 2002.

For OTA acandidate's age must be in between 19 to 25 years, born not ealier than January 2, 1996 and not later than January 1, 2002.

Yes you can appear for the Combined Defence Services examination as the age limit eligibility criteria says the age to be between 20 to 24 years of age and as you are 21 right now, you are eligible to appear for the CDS exmaination this year. You can give exams of Indian Military, Naval forces, Air Forces Academy.

The other important eligibility criterias are The minimum acceptable height for male candidates is 157.5 cm. for Army, 157 cm for Navy and 162.5 cms for Air Force. The minimum height of women candidates’ should be 152 cm.

No you will not be eligible for the UPSC CDS 2 2020, the notification will release in the month of June and as per the criterion in CDS 2 2019 you were not eligible in 2019 too, therefore no chances of eligible for CDS 2020 2 . However you can look for opportunities in territorial army once you start working.

Hello student yes you're eligible as you're completing 24 year age on 26 December 2020.
Which is around 9 months away.
The age eligibility is candidates must be between 20-24 year of age.
Qualification eligibility - candidates must have a degree in engineering from a recognized university/institution.

Hello dear student !

Of course , you can't appear for Indian Military or Indian Navy Academy or air force academy as  the age limit for it is 20-24 years of age.

Meanwhile, you can P articipate in the Officers training academy as the age limit for same is 19-25 years of age. So you can apply for the same.

Hello,

The dates to register for CDS 1 are closed but as CDS exams are taken twice a year you can take the second paper. The registration for the second CDS paper will be in the Month of August and will probably begin from 5th August,2020. Please stay updated on any notifications released on the official sites for test dates and other related information. The notification related to CDS 2 is released in the month of June probably, so, keep yourself updated on any information.

My date of birth is 18th FEB 1999. I am an engineering student and will pass in june 2023. can I apply for CDS 2 in 2022, and CDS 1 in 2023?

Hello,

The age related eligibility criteria for candidates applying for CDS exam conducted by UPSC is:

The candidate must be at max 24 years old. For OTA Men, it is 25 years. So, for CDS-2 2022, you will be 23 years old and can apply for all courses. But for CDS-1 2023, you will be 24 and thus you are eligible to apply only for OTA-Men.

hi,

after completing your graduation course or if you are in final year you are eligible to apply. age limit for woman candidate is ,  should have been born not earlier than January 2, 1996 and not later than January 2, 2002. woman's are only eligible to apply in Officers’ Training Academy (SSC Women Non-Technical Course), the eligibility criteria is bachelors degree in any discipline.

Will I be able to clear medical of CDS if i got my hand burnt by cracker and is ok now.

In medical test, they usually check the Height, weight. They also check for amy visual, auditory deformities. They will take a Chest X ray to rule out any Chest infections. Hand burn is a scar and it us not a deformity or an illness. So if the rest of the parameters are good, then there should be no reason why you would not clear the Medical fitness test. All that matters is that you should be in good Physical and Mental health and be free from any deformity or disease that might interfere with performing your duties efficiently.
