sir im a diploma holder from the stream of EEE and right now im pursing BTech in final (4-2) so for which post im eligible ..? thank you

Avinash oza 22nd Jun, 2019

Hello Meesala,

A lot depends on your percentage if good you will eligible for,

  1. Electricity Board - Asst Engineer
  2. Passing out Scientists Entrance test after a EEE degree completion, you will get placed as scientist B in defence organisations like DRDO, ISRO
  3. Passing GATE exam, you will be placed in HAL, BHEL,BSNL, powegrid etc
  4. Passing UPSC, you will get into these jobs
    1. Indian Railway Stores Service
    2. Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers
    3. Indian Railway Service of Electrical Engineers
    4. Indian Naval Stores Service (Indian Navy)
    5. Central Electrical and Mechanical Engineering Service (Central Public Works Department)
    6. Indian Supply Service (Directorate General of Supply and Disposals
    7. P&T Building Works Service (Department of Telecommunications, Ministry of Communications)
    8. Central Power Engineering Service
    9. Corps of Electrical and Mechanical Engineers (Indian Army)
    10. Indian Defence Service of Engineers (Military Engineer Service)

Many assume that Electrical Engineers are not so beneficial in banking segments. But it’s a wrong hypothesis. Like I said formerly that Electrical Engineers are utilized everywhere. In banking sector also Electrical Engineers are appointed for the following services:

  1. Preserving cheif electrical equipment like Inverters, Generators, etc. These electrical components should run systematically because banking system needs to function 24×7 and thus can’t afford a power failure.
  2. Energy Auditing

Also, Engineers can go for Probationary Officer post which a class-I equivalent cadre to central government jobs. Bank PO Salary, perks and facilities are at the level of some PSUs Graduate Engineers post, so there is no harm to join a public sector bank as a PO.
