 As you mention that you are from 12th Humanities and you want to crack CDS exam 10 to crack that you have to prepare for this exam you may take gap of 1 year for preparation how are you can join graduation courses with their preparation you have to just focus on your preparation.

If i have rejected in SSB interview, than i have to appear in CDS exam again or can apper for next SSB interview?

Hello Sandeep,

Well if you cracked CDS exam but if you are rejected in SSB interview you have to start all over it again. You can't gave direct interview. Hooe it will be helpful

Is cds exam conducted in both hindi or english languages?

As you know CDS includes 3 subjects:

1. English

2. General knowledge

3.Elementary Mathematics

Language of paper is both english and hindi except the english paper which will only be in english.For more information about marking scheme you can visit the nda site.

Which are the best books for cds preparations

Hey Ajay,

There are numerous books available for the preparation of CDS. I would recommend you to go with the Arihant publication's Pathfinder for CDS. As in that book, the course is clearly given topicwise , it will be easy for you to cover all the topics easily. All the best!!

Sir after 10 that can I give CDS exam?

Hello,

No, you are not eligible to apply for CDS after your 10th. In order to apply for CDS, you must have a graduation degree. For Indian Naval Academy, you must have completed your graduation in engineering.

Dear Ashok, for CDS 1 2020 candidates should not be younger than 19 years and older than 25 years as on January 2020. Candidates should have been born between July 1994 and July 1999. With your age you fall within permissable age limit. So you are eligible to appear for CDS 1, 2020. The rule says that unmarried or widowed male/female candidates should not be younger than 19 years or older than 25 years as on January 2020.

The syllabus of CDS written exam will be based on three subjects -  English, GK, and Elementary Math.

CDS Syllabus for English

  • English Comprehension
  • Finding errors & Omissions
  • Fill in the blanks
  • Jumbled Sentence

CDS Syllabus for General Knowledge 

  • Current affairs or events like politics, sports, Indian economy, daily news, etc.
  • Books and their Authors

CDS Syllabus for Elementary Mathematics

  • Arithmetic: Number System
  • Geometry: Lines & Angles
  • Algebra: Basic operation, Simple factors, Remainder Theorem, HCF & LCM

UPSC CDS examination is conducted by UPSC twice a year to recruit young officers in indian armed forces Army,Navy & Air force.

Main eligibility for CDS is graduation in any stream and there is not any percentage bar as well.

Hello sir CDS exam ke liye bsc hona jaroorie hai kya

Hello, candidates who had completed their Graduation in any field and even the candidates who are in the final years of their Degree Course and have yet to pass the final year Degree examination are also eligible to apply for it. 

In detail.   

  • I.M.A. and OTA: Degree of a recognized University or equivalent.
  • Indian Naval Academy (INA):  Degree in Engineering from a recognized university/institution.
  • Air Force Academy: Degree of a recognized University (with Physics and Mathematics at 10+2 level) or Bachelor of Engineering
