With your NMAT percentile you can appear for the Hyderabad and Bangalore campuses of NMIMS and for ICFAI Business School Hyderabad. ICFAI  Business School has an excellent program for finance. There are several other colleges that accept NMAT scores but they won't be a very good option for you.

Do all IIMs have sectional cutoffs?

CAT OA - 78.50 Sectionals ( 75.87,63.96,85.10 ) NC-OBC FEMALE 10th - 92.80 12th - 81.40 Grad - 77.40 35 months work -ex (Software Engineer) Is there any chance I get a call from baby IIMs? Or any other calls? PLease advise as to which colleges form I should apply for now? ( Like IMI,any IITs etc)

Sneha,You have good chances at 11 IIMs including the Baby IIMs. The IIMS along with last year cut off percentiles is as follows:

IIM Jammu: 78.19

IIM Udaipur: 78.02

IIM Raipur: 78.01

You haven't mentioned your score, but since you said you have extremely low scores, you don't stand any chance of getting admission in any of the MBA institutes giving admission on the basis of CAT scores. For admissions, you must have atleast 55+ percentile. Only then you can expect

CAT cut offs depend on the difficulty of the exam, number of candidates who wrote the exam, top CAT percentile, number of seats available and other factors. Usually for the IIMs the cut off for General Category goes upto 99 percentile. This also includes FMS, MDI, SPIJMR,etc. IIM Sambalpur, IIM

i passed 12th from cbse board with 55%,then i appeared again for 12th in nios board in 2017 and got 80%, but i took admission in my graduation in 2017 using my cbse result,can i use my nios 12th result to appear in cat now?

Hey Risabh,

There is no minimum eligibility to appear in CAT. But some of the IIMs give almost 10% weightage to 12th standard while some may give up to 50%.

But as per the norms, in your case you have appeared NIOS and made your percentage to 80. You can

i am a chemical engineer having 2 years of job experience. i have 69% in 10th, i did diploma in chemical engineering and have 59% in that. After that i did my BTech in chemical engineering with 66% and my cat Percentile is 75%, do i have any scope to get a call for GD and PI from DTU.

Well going by your score profile I guess the chances for them call you for group discussion is pretty slim. But one added advantage you have here is the two year job experience. Ask your employer to write you an impressive letter of recommendation and you might stand a decent

I have 97.1 percentile in CAT, 10th, 12th above 80, graduation above 60. Category OBC, but I didnt get call from IIM Calcutta. Is there anyway I could get to know there cutoffs for stage 2 shortlist.

You ahve secured a good percentile in CAT exam. But, you have to maintain a good record, Also to get into top IIMs, you have to secured more than 99.5+ percentile, then you will be definitely get a call for the top 3 IIMS, that is IIM Calcutta,

I am a B.Tech graduate. Having 67% in X, 59% in XII and 61% in engineering. I am SC also. This year I didnt get well in CAT. I am willing to give a year gap for my preparation. If I give a year gap is it hamper my next years admission to a good college or for future placement?

As you mentioned your academics score,it is below than average and also you dont have any work experience.So,I would suggest you to give CAT exam next year.But i would also suggest you to do some job with preparing for CAT,because along with percentile and academics marks,your job experience

Dear aspirant,

This year BARC is on a slightly higher side at the level of questions asked are also very difficult as compared to previous years and with your score of 34 marks that is around 11 questions correct you can expect a percentile of around 85.
