My qualifications :10 CGPA in 10th, 91.6% in 12th, 7.06 till 6th semester (ECE, B.Tech, IIT Guwahati. I dont feel these are respectable enough to get into top IIMs. Will it help to have a experience in a reputed firm. I also had an intern at Goldman Sachs.

I have 89.60% in 12th CBSE. As per the IIM normalization, they give higher points to those who have 90% plus. Can I round off to 90% in application?

Dear Nikhil, you cannot round off the aggregate by any means. You shall enter the marks that you scored and shall not tamper the score for the sake of additional points. You will be held for malpractise and your admission might stand cancelled.

It is always good to have a plan B incase plan A does not work. However the competitive exam for both the courses which you want to pursue are pretty difficult. You can definitely prepare for both if you have the capacity to undertake both preparation at the same

please tell me, is it good to prepare for cat and nimcet together, I think it will help if I cant get admission in one stream than help in other steam admission. whats your opinion?

HI...

CAT is tougher than NIMCET. But you can prepare for both the exams.

English and Mathematics is almost of the same level in both. But Logical Reasoning and Data Interpretation much harder in CAT than in NIMCET. There are also 10 questions of Computer Awareness.

SPIJMR considers the following factors for their selection process:

  • Overall Profile
  • Academic background
  • Work experience
  • Entrance scores
  • Versatility and achievements

Now work experience is not mandatory for this programme. Versatility does matter but if you can make atleast 90 percentile in CAT, you should  be able to get into the

Dear Madhav, CAT doesn't differentiate in any particular discipline for Graduation. As long as you have 50% in your Graduation, any discipline is allowed. It is 50% for General Category and 45% for Reserved Categories. So with your B.Sc in Agriculture, you are eligible for MBA in all the 20

Dear Neela, CAT official brouchure says that for General Category Students, the minimum aggregate in their Bachelor's degree should be 50%. It is 45% for Reserved Categories. And unfortunately there is no rounding of percentages to the nearby number. CAT allows you to enter the decimals and so that rules
