Dear Neela, CAT official brouchure says that for General Category Students, the minimum aggregate in their Bachelor's degree should be 50%. It is 45% for Reserved Categories. Yes, you should get a call from FMS Delhi Because you have scored very good rank in CAT examination

No,you will not face any problem after getting a call from FMS for GD and PI.

Can I join IIM Ahmedabad using GMAT rather than going for CAT?

Dear Akshat, CAT is exclusively conducted by the IIMs. So the selection for admission to any of the 20 IIMs is through CAT exam. The eligibility criteria for cat exam is that candidate  holds a Bachelor's Degree with at least 50% marks or equivalent CGPA. The candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC), Scheduled Tribe (ST) and Differently Abled (DA) categories, need at least 45% marks.
