Get focused from today itself... Stay honest with yourself I'll say that is Quality matters over Quantity. So know what and how are you studying and follow the schedule and timetable that you make.
For the books I will tell you to go with Word Power made easy by Norman Lewis and a book of English and Grammar by Wren and Martin for English subject. Coming to the next subject which is Logical Reasoning, go for RS AGGARWAL boook. A modern approach to logical reasoning by MK Pandey is also another good book. For Maths, again go with RS AGGARWAL. And for the Legal Aptitude, go with Pearson and AP Bharadwaj.
For the last subject that is GK and current affairs, read Pearson and Lucent for GK and for current affairs, stay updated by all the ways you can that is by seeing news, reading newspapers, or reading blogs and articles.

There are so many private colleges that you can join by going through their admission criteria, some of the colleges including Christ University, symbiosis,Amity University Jindal global law school etc. You might have to go through a separate admission test in these colleges but if you cannot make it through clay,do try for these colleges as they provide excellent education in law.
Hi Aveline,
CLAT or the Common Law Admission Test is conducted for admission into 5-year LLB programmes of participating NLUs . So, you need to prepare for it differently than you would do for JEE which is the entrance exam to obtain admission into engineering. However, CLAT is also a very competitive exam like JEE.
The CLAT question paper would have passages which are followed by multiple choice questions based on the passage. The CLAT syllabus includes English, GK and current affairs, logical reasoning, legal reasoning, and quantitative techniques.
You need to develop a reading habit and stay updated with current affairs and developments in the legal field. Practise with sample papers for CLAT to improve speed and assess your level of preparation.
Yes I'll enlist down some of the top books that will help you in the CLAT preparation. For improving your English and Grammar you can go with High School English Grammar by Wren and Martin, you can take help of Word Power made Easy by Norman Lewis as well. For Analytical and Logical reasoning, go with RS AGGARWAL AND MK PANDEY books. For Legal Aptitude, AK Bharadwaj is quite famous. For mathematics, use RS AGGARWAL and for GK and Current affairs, use Pearson GK Today and read newspapers and blogs regularly to keep yourself updated.
