Also, there is no Ms in India it is either Mtech or MSc.

Any day VIT Vellore is a better option , they offer a lot of placements for all of their courses , from second year you can start your internships as well.

In Amrita  the 5 year Data science programme was just started 3 years back and I don't think they have proper facilities or requirements that is needed for an integrated course.

However in VIT Vellore try applying for BTech programmes and then do your masters in IIM or Abroad. Integrated students will not get as many companies as CSE and IT students , if you join the clubs in VIT you have a fair chance of getting placements . So lastly comparing both the colleges , VIT Vellore comes out as a better option

First of all, you need to think about the future and value of the course you want to pursue and choosing Data Science is one of the best options available to secure a decent package and a good job (only with hard work and skills). Yes, you can go with first BCA here and then MS in the UK.

B.Sc is a common degree whereas MS is professional and I come under Masters degree. So, you can easily judge the level. Also, B.Sc will have low fees but the placements are not sure even the job surety is not there Until or unless pursued from a good colleges/university.

MS in Data Science from a foreign university will always have an upper edge in many terms. The placements are sometimes easy because of the higher number of jobs compared to India. And the average package is also very decent.

IIT Madras is one of the finest and premier colleges in India. An IIT tag is itself enough to change the life of an individual. However, the skills and the learning ability plays a major role when it comes to trying skills in the real world.

See, A BSC in diploma and Data science course is good but you need to understand about the future with a chance of jobs. As after passing from the institute all you will need is a job. IIT Madras does not promise to provide job opportunities and placements. The degree just adds a tag of an IITIAN to the resume.

It is worth it if you do not want to do jobs further but not completely. There are no placements and job opportunities. So, it depends upon you whether go into the course or not.
