Im student of kvs Uttar pradesh and appearing 12 and pass from Up state .But I live in Delhi And I dont Up state domicile so for which state I will be able to apply for State quota in neet

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 16th May, 2021

Hi

In order to answer your question let's first see the state quota eligibility of both UP and Delhi.

DELHI

In order to be eligible for the Delhi state quota seats, you need to have passed your class 12 from any school located in Delhi- NCR, affiliated to boards :-CBSE, ICSE or JMI.

As you are appearing for your 12 th from UP so you are not eligible for Delhi state quota.

UP

You need to fulfil any one of the following in order to be domicile of UP and thus be eligible for UP state quota :-

  • You must be native of UP and your father should be a Resident of the state of UP.

  • Your  parent/s should have lived UP for at least  3 years.

  • Your parent/s should be working with the Government of India.

  • If you have passed your 10th and 12th from the state of UP, then you don't need to furnish domicile certificate and you will be eligible for UP state quota

  • If you have have passed either your 10th or 12th UP, then you need to furnish UP residence proof of your parent/s in order to be eligible for UP state quota

So, if you satisy anyone of the above points then you will be eligible for UP state quota

For example,

If you pass both 10th and 12th from UP then you are eligible for UP state quota without any domicile certificate.

Subhrajit Mukherjee 23rd Jun, 2021

The eligibility criteria for Karnatak State quota seats are:

  • He/she must have passed Class 10 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, he/she must have studied for a period of seven years from a government school located in Karnataka

or,

  • He/she must have passed Class 11 and Class 12 from an institute located in Karnataka. Also, either of the candidate’s parents must have studied for a period of seven years from an institute located in Karnataka.

or,

  • Candidate and either of his/her parent’s mother tongue is Kannada/Tulu/Kodava. Also, this parent must be a domicile of Karnataka state.

Now as you have done your education about 16 years in Karnataka then your son is eligible for the state 85% quota seat in Karnataka.

I believe with 93 Percentile, being from Punjab State, your best chance would be at TIET Patiala. You will easily secure CSE/EEE/IT and related Specializations at Thapar University. TIET Patiala has excellent infrastructure, faculty, training and placements. For more information do follow the link below

Hi,

The admissions in the colleges have been divided into different categories such as General, OBC, SC/ ST and many more and from this, in which ever student belong gets the admission in that particular category but just you should have your proper proof regarding that particular field now as you have your Domicile certificate so you will be eligible for state quota seat but if you are an OBC category student you should have your OBC certificate as well to be eligible for that particular quota. So ya if you want to get benefit of it you should have it.

Thank you..

How exactly does the neet documents verification goes when we arrive at the allotted college centre for admission ? Do they just physically see them and verify that every document is present or do they crosscheck it with our respective boards for 12th and states for our domicile?

snigdha vig 3rd May, 2021

Hi,

When you get your allotment letter and you report to the college for document verification, your documents are physically verified. They check that the documents are legitimate and also, it is checked that all the documents are complete. Also, since, you upload all your documents while registering for NTA NEET, they are most likely verified at that stage too.

I hope this helped you.
