I born and brought up in Maharashtra. my parents are from UP but my domicile and cast certificate has made in Maharashtra (Bhiwandi) only i.e in OBC category. just for survey they sent our app to UP to confrom that parents belong to UP so should I fill my neet2021 form in the obc category?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 28th Mar, 2021

Hi

If you are domicile of Maharashtra and have OBC certificate of Maharashtra state then you are eligible for Maharashtra state counselling and you can avail OBC reservation using your OBC Maharashtra state level certificate in  Maharashtra state counselling and can choose obc as your category while  filling the form for participating in the state counselling as for state counselling there is an option to choose your category as the category you belong to in that state.

But just because you belong to OBC category in Maharashtra doesn't mean that you can choose OBC as your category in NEET application form .For that, you should check the OBC Central list ,if you are in the central list of OBC then you can definitely choose OBC as your category and can get OBC Central certificate made, to avail OBC reservation in all India Neet counselling.

Central list :

i have passed my 11th and 12th in Karnataka , but i had done my 1st to 10 th in Maharashtra , but my parents belong to Karnataka and have completed their education in Karnataka of more than seven years am i eligible for Karnataka state domicile ?

Sohamsengupta8 6th May, 2021

Hello.Student

You have passed 11th and 12th in class in Karnataka but have done 1 to 10 class in Maharashtra.

The state rules of domicile for the candidate who is applying for domicile certificate has been living in the specific state at least six years and continuing studies there for the same years is eligible for getting domicile certificate of that specific state.

As you have completed your 1 to 10 class examination  from the state of Maharashtra then you should have to apply for your domicile certificate from Maharashtra. For profession or.  bus iness.your parents residence in karnatak will not be taken into account for domicile certificate as you have completed your 10 class from 1 to 10 for the state of Maharashtra. For domicile certificate apply  for the respective authority of the state of Maharashtra.

IF MY DOMICILE IS JAMMU AND KASHMIR AND I COMPLETED MY 11 AND 12 CLASS IN PUNJAB CAN I APPLY FOR BOTH STATE QUATA AND CAN I APPLY FOR ALL INDIA QUATA?

ayanmukherjee045 28th Mar, 2021

Dear aspirant ,

I don't think that would be allowed. You need to produce the domicile of Punjab otherwise you won't be eligible for the state quota even if i consider you have completed your 11th and 12th from Punjab. So I would recommend you to take out the domicile.
