Aditi amrendra Student Expert 24th Jan, 2021
Hello,

Here's basic eligibility criteria for appearing in KCET :

Educational Qualifications

  • Candidates must have passed their class 12/PUC examination. Candidates who have appeared in their class 12/PUC examination in 2021 and waiting for their result can also apply for KCET 2021.

  • Candidates who have passed their qualifying examination/class 12/PUC from Karnataka State Open University are NOT eligible to apply for KCET 2021

  • Candidates must have Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their class 12 along with Chemistry/ Biotechnology/ Biology/ Electronics/ Computer Science as optional subjects with English as one of the languages of study

  • Candidates must have obtained an aggregate minimum of 45% marks in the optional subjects in the qualifying examination (40% in case of SC, ST, Category-I and OBC (2A, 2B, 3A and 3B) category candidates)

Now, given above is a basic eligibility criteria but there is a different eligibility criteria for securing a seat in government seats.

  • Candidate should have studied in one or more Government or Government recognised educational institutions located in the State of Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN academic years commencing from 1st standard to 2nd PUC / 12th standard as on 1st July 2021 and must have appeared and passed either SSLC / 10th standard or 2nd PUC / 12th standard examination from Karnataka State.

  • Candidates should have studied and passed either 1st and 2nd year Pre-University Examination or 11th and 12th standard examination within the State of Karnataka from an Educational Institution run or recognized by the State Government and that either of the parents should have studied in Karnataka for a minimum period of SEVEN years.

  • Candidate who is son or daughter of defence personnel who has worked continuously in Karnataka for a minimum period of one year in Karnataka during the Two year period of study of candidates in PUC / 11th and 12th Standard course.

  • Wards of serving or retired employee in Central Armed Police Force Service, whose parents at the time of joining the CAPF Service (Central Armed Police Force) had mentioned that his/her home town was in Karnataka, has to submit proof of his/her domicile from the Record Office of the CAPF Unit where the Parents service record is maintained. In this category, the candidates must have cleared the qualifying examination from a recognised University or Board or any other institution located anywhere in India.

I have Studied My 10th and 12th from maharashtra State board And I want To participate In UP NEET State Ayush counseling , Does I need Marksheet oF UP Board ? Or i can participate With Domicile Of UP which i have ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 22nd Jan, 2021
Hi

You don't need to worry, you don't need passing certificate of 10 + 2 from Maharashtra.

This is because,

To be eligible for UP State quota the criteria is :-

You should be domicile of up and should have done your 10 + 2 from up or if you have not done your 10+2 from up then you need to produce domicile certificate.

So,

Even if you have not completed your 10 + 2 from UP as you have your domicile certificate of UTTAR PRADESH you will be eligible for UP state quota.

I hope that you find this helpful.

will I get state quota in rajasthan if I have done bds from karnatka but I have domicile of rajasthan?

suprava.65 21st Jan, 2021

Dear Aspirant

In case of NEET  the State Quota has 85% seats. Aspirants from the corresponding states may apply for State Quota seats. The seat allotment under the State Quota in various states is on the basis of counselling at the  State level.

  • Corresponding State/Union Territory officials specify eligibility criteria and reservation policy for their states for admissions under state quota seats periodically.
  • Specific laws prevail in a state/union territory which is applicable to corresponding categories for seat-reservation for MBBS/BDS courses
  • Norms shall be specified by the State/Union territory for admissions to medical courses in private medical institutes, Pune
  • The Ministry of Defence, Directorate General of Armed Forces Medical Services, and Government of India specify policies or admissions to AFMC, Pune

In each of the Indian states, 85% of the total medical seats (government) are accessible to candidates that reside in the state. This corresponds to saying that 85% out of the total government medical seats in each of the states are reserved for candidates of those states only. These seats are again allotted basis the NEET scores obtained.

Candidates must register to seek seats under the State Quota. Those students eligible for seats under state quota must contact corresponding state admission officials and Directorate of Medical Education

I want to know which are the states in which they dont require domicile for neet mds admission?

daniasufian2000 18th Jan, 2021

Hello,
All states require domicile certificate for state counselling. In neet pg, you can apply for state counselling in either the state of your domicile or the state of your mds college.
However to apply to state colleges without domicile you can check these options:
50%of the state government seats are under all India quota counselling. You can apply for these seats.
All private colleges allow students of other states to apply for private and management seats in their colleges.
For deemed universities in a state you can apply through deemed university counselling. You do not need state quota
So, if you want to apply to a non domicile state you can apply to these categories of seats.
Hope this helps.

What is domicile certificate. Is it required in neet counselling. How to make domicile certificate

theeanonymous 16th Jan, 2021

Hello Aspirant,

A Domicile certificate is a proof that you belong to the particular or concerned state thus allowing you to avail all the benefits associated with it during the counselling process. And yes, when you go for attending NEET state quota counselling , 75% you will need this domicile certificate to prove that you belong to the state and only then you will be eligible for the state's government medical college seats. Without this certificate , you will considered an outsider and will be given admission to only private colleges.A domicile certificate can be issued by the respective state/UT authorities such as Tehsildar, Revenue Office, SDM, Collector Office, Deputy Collector Office, District Magistrate Office, etc. So to know the procedure to apply for the same in your state , kindly visit the official website of the state.
