suprava.65 14th Feb, 2021

Dear Aspirant

Every state government has its own set of norms that one has to follow to be eligible in order to get the this Certificate.

Maharashtra – Any person gets a certificate. However, he or she should be a resident of the state for the past 15 years.

Karnataka - In Karnataka Domicile Certificate is issued by the Revenue Department Officer that works in the respective Taluk Office. With the certificate, the resident of Karnataka can reap the benefits of quotas and get admission in educational institutes. It also helps people to get preferences in government services and scholarships for education. It proves the residential status of the person. In order to get the certificate, the person should be a permanent resident of Karnataka for a minimum past six years.

if my parents have aadhaar cards and voter cards of different address then where will be the domicile certificate from?

ayanmukherjee045 4th Jan, 2021

Dear aspirant,

As you said that aadhar and voter cards of your parents have different addresses, nowadays aadhar card is basically is treated as your address proof identity and it would be required generally for making your domicile certificate and i think it won't affect if you have a different address in your voter card.

If my domicile is of Maharashtra, Im born in Kerala but Ive completed my education till 12th in Maharashtra, will I be able to study in a private university in Karnataka?

ARYAN SAGAR 12th Feb, 2021

Dear student,

Yes, for studying in a private college or university there is no such requirements of domicile certificate. But if there was a goverment college, then domicile certificate of that particular state in which the college is situated. But for private college you can easily take on the basis of aadhar card.

And make sure that you clear the entrance exam for that college or the state entrance exam.

my mht-cet score is 82.9 what will be my expected rank my category is general and i am domicile of bihar.

Anurag Khanna 26th Dec, 2020

Hello Aspirant,

See from the percentile there is no 100% accurate method to calculate rank from percentile but if we go through previous years trends than on such percentile your rank is expected in the range of 19,001 – 32,000. Note that this is not your exact rank because it might have slight variations to the actual rank.

You can check out complete details about Percentile Vs Rank and cut-off for different colleges in MHT CET from the link given below :-

https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/mht-cet-cutoff

To have a list of all those colleges which you can get based upon your percentile and category you can use MHT CET College Predictor because it will make you comfortable while choice filling in counselling :-

I hope this information helps you.
