if i am from odisha and then i went to kota, Rajasthan to study for neet then can i get domicile certificate of odisha or can i avail for a seat reservation in odisha state quota

Naija Bansal 2nd Oct, 2020

Hi there,

A Domicile /Residence Certificate is generally issued to prove that the person bearing the Certificate is a Domicile /Resident of the State/ UT by which the Certificate is being issued.

The domicile for any state is obtained on the basis of permanent residency of that place. As you belong from Odisha, you can obtain the permanent residency certificate on your name from there and that will be counted as your domicile in counselling process.

If you already have the permanent residency certificate/domicile of Odisha, you can avail the seat reservation in the Odisha State Quota.

ABHIK SHAW 1st Oct, 2020

Hello,

Based upon the marks that you have scored you may have a rank in the range of 13064-16008. With respect to the state merit list and that you are from the unreserved category, you may have chances of admission in the following colleges under 85% State Quota -

  • Government Medical College, Manjeri
  • Government Medical College, Thrissur
  • Pariyaram Medical College, Pariyaram
  • Amala institute of Medical Sciences, Amalanagar
  • Believers Church Medical College Hospital, Thiruvalla
  • MES Academy of Medical Sciences, Malaparamba
  • Jubilee Mission Medical College and Research Institute, Thrissur

It looks like that you have better chances of admission in the private colleges under 85% State Quota. Would suggest you to use our college predictor to fetch the list of predicted colleges for your admission -

Hello,

Last year 537 marks with all india rank of 10363 secured a seat in GMC Patiala under state quota belonging to UR, and this year there are greater chances of cut-offs increasing hence it may be a bit tough in your case to secure a seat here, though you may have chances in GMC Amritsar and Guru Gobind Singh Medical College and Hospital,  check out previous year cut-offs at https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff-punjab, cutoffs vary every year based on multiple factors such as seat matrix, marks obtained in exam, toughness level of paper, total number of candidates participating in the exam etc.To know more about admission possibilities in various colleges you can use our NEET College Predictor; https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hi, I am a domicile of Andhra Pradesh and i did not fill it in my CLAT application. Can i still avail the benefit of domcile reservation in DSNLU? What are the possibile solutions

pkp.inutail 12th Nov, 2020

Greetings,

The simple answer is no, you won't be able to apply if you have not filled in the relevant category under which you claim a seat. Unfortunately there is no provision for submitting certificates later on as your name would not be in the state merit list which will be used for domicile seat admissions at DSNLU. Please be careful about these things in the future.

I need govt medical college Neet marks 302 Air is 320019 St category rank 8000 Domicile state rajasthan

akashkumarpati.2000 10th Nov, 2020

Dear Aspirant,

I want to inform you that Office of the Chairman, NEET UG Medical and Dental Admission/ Counselling board of Rajasthan hasn't released the official cut-off details of top and renowned Government MBBS colleges in Rajasthan for this year till now. So I would like to suggest you to use the previous year's (2019) informations in this regard. That's why I'm going to refer you to check the following website:

https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-cutoff- rajasthan

So it must be quite clear for you also that despite being reserved (ST) category student you don't have any kind of possibility to grab a seat in any Government MBBS colleges, you can go for several prestigious Private MBBS instituions perfectly suitable for your marks and category :

If you've any confusion (i.e. total number of seats, academics review, fees structure, faculties, infrastructure etc) about any of the above mentioned colleges, just click on the given link beside its name.

The cut-off marks of each and every college will definitely get increased on account of increasing of the several important determining factors like:

  • Number of appeared canditates
  • Number of successful candidates
  • Highest Score obtained in NEET UG 2020
  • Number of seats allocated by the conducting authority.

Still it can be atleast estimated that since you're a reserved (ST) category student you've definite probability to get admitted in those above mentioned reputed colleges.

So don't worry. Just be relaxed.

To get the entire list you can also use Careers360 NEET college predictor tool in this regard to ensure my assumption:

https://medicine.careers360.com/neet-college-predictor?icn=QnA&ici=qna_answer

Hope these informations and links will be quite beneficial for you.

Wish you all the best.
