Hello Narayana, you have pretty decent rank in KCET, with that much of rank you are pretty eligible for most of the colleges out there, though you might not be able to land yourself in top-tier government college. But still keep some college as a backup plan. This will help you in long run.
Dear Student,
Acharya is known for its stunning infrastructure and great shooting spot.If you look into the academic section, it depends on different departments. I studied E&C, and i feel that it dint had such talented lectures as compared to CS & IS departments, where there was fine impart of knowledge. Another department like Mechanical, E&E, BT, Mechatronics are average on teaching scale. If you see the college fee structure and hostel feels, it is quite high as compared to other private colleges. But the higher management is quite friendly, so they will help the students if required. There is scope for extra-curricular activities but not on large scale. And the most important 'Acharya Habba', a very lavishly celebrated college fest.
Hope I have made myself clear.
Best Wishes!

Good Luck for everything ahead:)
The cutoff rank or the maximum closing rank for the above mentioned institute in the year 2018 was 12335 and in 2017 the cutoff rank was 12195 for the computer science and engineering branch. So as per your marks the chances are comparitively less for the above institute. Also the availability of the institue is only known on the basis of the online counselling process and the marks you have obtained. So I would suggest you that you go for the counselling rounds and then you will be able to know the seat allocation.
Hey!There
You should go with NMAMIT KARKALA as it has decent placement record and also well equipped facilities.Campus is well cleaned and all basic facilities in hostel.Sports clubs is well equipped with sports instruments.Faculty is good in teaching and have friendly behavior. If you want pursue Btech in CSE in then both Colleges is good. Also Acharya Institute Techology is good in placement.but from my view point I will favor you to go with NMAMIT...
I hope this will help you in making decisions.
