Dr B R Ambedkar National Institute of Technology Jalandhar
Dear Aspirant,
Congratulations for cracking the JEE main examination.
You have interest in particular three Colleges:
1) National institute of technology, Jalandhar
2) National institute of technology, Hamirpur
3) Indian institute of engineering, science and technology, shibpur
According to the infrastructure, hostel facility, faculty, liberary, laboratory facilities etc All Colleges are same.
Because these colleges have national importance.
NIT, Hamirpur is comparatively new college.
But NIT, Jalandhar and iiest shibpur is very much old Colleges.
If you want to bag a good package then you can opt for iiest shibpur.
It is a very much good College.
You can definitely opt for it.
Best of luck.
Dear aspirant
There are different parameters on which the nirf ranking is based upon for different colleges such as
All the parameters now do lack in the NIT Jalandhar and so the ranking is going down and it will continue if no step is taken for it .
National Institute of Technology , Jalandhar has a higher ranking according to NIRF as compared to National Institute of Technology, Silchar.
Also, placement statists of NIT Jalandhar is more appreciable as compared to NIT Silchar.
Hence , if a person is getting either CSE or IT in NIT Jalandhar he/she should go for it rather than NIT Silchar.
All the best!
The Information Technology Branch is the 2nd most preferred non-core branch after Computer Science Engineering.
NattioNa Institute of Technology, Jalandhar has a NIRF ranking 113.
The placement statistics over the past few years has been around 86% which is pretty good.
Hence, though Information Technology Branch has been resumed from last year , could prove to be a better branch as the college's overview is very spectacular.
Hi there
Placement scenario in NIT Jalandhar is very good now. A lot of chances are available to get campus placements in good organisations like Adobe, Amazon, Reliance, Trident, Microsoft and many others. Companies also offer internships to students. The maximum package offered is 39 lacs per annum and the average is 7 lacs per annum.
Hope this helps. Good luck!
Hi Amen,
Since in recent years PEC is at downfall continually and NITJ is becoming better (not considering nirf ranking as according to it nit hamirpur is much better than NITJ which is not true is any field). The environment of PEC is much open which is a major drawback of NITJ and being in Chandigarh is always an advantage over NITJ.
But still overall NITJ is better as NIT is a brand and people from nearly each and every state and background came there but in PEC it do not happen.
I hope this helps.
Hello,
ICE is one of the best branch of NIT JALANDHAR. Every year ICE’s 95–100% students get placement. After CSE and ECE,ICE is the best in NITJ. Every year syllabus update only in ICE. Faculty is also good. 1st rank holder in GATE 2018 in ICE is also from NIT JALANDHAR.
Thanju.
Hello aman,
i suggest you Nit jalandhar mechanical is better than punjab engineering college in all terms like placement and also mechanical of course has the best scope in future it can also be called as evergreen branch.
Afterall NIT's are always better than local engineering colleges.
Goodluck,
Thankyou.
