Can I get electrical at top 6 nits at 96 percentile ews category , no home state quota

kumardurgesh1802 7th Feb, 2025

Hello there,

At 96 percentile in JEE Mains 2025 under the EWS category (without home state quota), your expected Common Rank List (CRL) rank will be around 40,000 – 45,000 , and your EWS rank will be around 6,000 – 7,000 .

For Electrical Engineering , getting into the top 6 NITs will be very tough. NIT Trichy, NIT Surathkal, and NIT Warangal generally close around an EWS rank of 2,000 – 3,500 , which makes it nearly impossible for you to secure a seat there. MNIT Jaipur, MNNIT Allahabad, and NIT Calicut sometimes extend their cutoff to around 4,000 – 5,000 , so you may have a slight chance in the later rounds .

If you are open to other NITs like NIT Rourkela, NIT Jamshedpur, or NIT Silchar , you might have a better chance.

I would recommend you to use JEE Mains College Predictor Tool by Careers360 to get the list of possible colleges you can get with your rank.

I hope this answer helps you. If you have more queries then feel free to share your questions with us we will be happy to assist you.

What can be the cut off for ee gate 2025

Vanshika Agarwal 4th Feb, 2025

Predicting the exact GATE 2025 EE cut-off is difficult, but based on trends, experts anticipate it to be between 28-32 for the general category. OBC-NCL/EWS might see 24-27, and SC/ST/PwD around 20-23. These are estimates, and the actual cut-off depends on exam difficulty, test-takers, performance, and seat availability. Focus on scoring well above these predictions for better admission chances. Check the IIT Roorkee website and individual institute websites for official cut-offs after the exam.

I got a valid Gate score of 429 in EE , qualified gate or it will be normal process ?

sadafreen356 23rd Dec, 2024

A GATE score of 429 in Electrical Engineering (EE) is considered a valid and qualifying score; this means you have successfully cleared the GATE exam and are eligible to apply for various M.Tech programs in Electrical Engineering at different institutes depending on their specific cut-off marks.

If you are belongs to General category then it will be very tough to get admission in prestigious NITs. Then you can wait for spot counselling.

Thank you.

is it available electrical engineer diploma

monag2673 25th Oct, 2024

Yes, a Diploma in Electrical Engineering is widely available at many polytechnic institutions and technical colleges across India. This diploma course typically spans three years and focuses on the core concepts of electrical systems, circuits, power generation, and distribution. It’s designed for students who want to pursue a career in electrical engineering without initially going through a full bachelor's degree.

The curriculum generally includes subjects like electrical machines, power electronics, control systems, and electrical measurements. Practical learning is emphasized through lab work and hands-on training, preparing students for real-world applications in industries like power plants, manufacturing, and electronics.

Eligibility for the course usually requires passing the 10th grade with a minimum percentage. After completing the diploma, students can either enter the workforce directly as junior engineers, technicians, or supervisors in various sectors or continue their education. Many choose to pursue lateral entry into a Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.) or Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) program, which allows them to join directly in the second year.

The diploma is an excellent choice for those looking for a quicker, more job-oriented path into electrical engineering, offering practical skills and good job prospects in the industry.
