Mam what about CE or Electrical ?

Sakshi Sharma 19th Mar, 2025

Hello ,

I am assuming that you are asking about comparison between both the branches of engineering. See , CE branch is a subset of electrical branch in which you will study about software more. But in electrical branch you have to deal with the networks, power system, software and hardware both. Both branches have good scope in jobs.

I hope this helps you !!

Which is a better choice? Shiv nadar,Noida for Electrical and computer engineering or Plaksha university, Mohali

Rohan 28th Mar, 2025

Shiv Nadar University (SNU), Noida:
Pros: Established reputation, strong faculty, average package 12 LPA.
Cons: Demanding academic schedule.

Plaksha University, Mohali:
Pros: Innovative curriculum, average package 19.45 LPA, strong industry ties.
Cons: Newer institution, unproven long-term reputation.

Which to Choose?
SNU: Ideal if you prefer a well-established institution with consistent placements.
Plaksha: Best if you seek an innovative, startup-like environment with higher placement potential.

My Advice: Choose the college based on your budget and expectations from the institution.

All the Best!

You can definitely consider Electrical Maintenance as a vocational subject while applying for MHTCET. According to the eligibility criteria, vocational subjects can be considered along with Physics and Maths for calculating the aggregate marks.

In your case, since you have Electrical Maintenance as a vocational subject, you can add it to your Physics and Maths scores to meet the grouping criteria. However, please note that the specific guidelines for vocational subjects may vary, so it's always best to check the official MHTCET website to confirm the details.

Additionally, keep in mind that having a vocational subject like Electrical Maintenance can actually boost your chances of getting a good college, as it's considered a valuable skill.

I am a diploma electrical engineering students.I want to become a Engineer in isro . give me suggestions what step I take next btech or campus placement.

Kenma Kozume 19th Feb, 2025

hi ,

here are the suggestions you might consider to become an engineer in ISRO :-

Pursue B.Tech (Best Option)

  • Why? ISRO mainly recruits engineers with a B.Tech/B.E. degree in Electrical, Electronics, Mechanical, or Computer Science.
  • How?
  • Take lateral entry into a B.Tech (Electrical/Electronics/Mechanical/Aerospace) program, which allows you to start from the 2nd year .

  • Prefer IISc, IITs, NITs, or reputed government colleges for better placement chances.

  • Keep a strong CGPA (above 7.5 or 8) and develop good technical knowledge.

Campus Placement (Less Recommended)

  • If your diploma institute has a good placement program , you may work in the electronics, power, or aerospace sector and gain experience.
  • After 2-3 years of experience , you can apply for ISRO recruitment or lateral entry exams.
  • However, B.Tech is still the better route because ISRO mainly recruits degree holders.

Apply for ISRO’s Technical Assistant Post (Diploma Level)

  • ISRO occasionally hires diploma holders for Technical Assistant or Technician posts.
  • You can check ISRO’s recruitment website for notifications.
  • If you join ISRO as a Technician, you can pursue B.Tech while working and later apply for Engineer-level positions.

Appear for ISRO’s Scientist/Engineer Recruitment (After B.Tech)

  • Once you complete B.Tech , you can apply for ISRO’s Scientist/Engineer ‘SC’ Exam (conducted by ISRO itself).
  • You can also qualify through GATE for direct recruitment.

in conclusion -

If you want to become a full-fledged Engineer at ISRO , go for B.Tech through lateral entry .

If you need a job soon, you can try for diploma-level ISRO jobs or private sector jobs and later upgrade your qualifications.
