In Jee Advance at category rank 450 in gen-ews .In which IITs i can get electrical engineering.

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 30th Sep, 2021

Hi

This is a bit difficult to predict the rank required in to get a seat as cut off  keeps changing every year  depending upon various factors like

----------)  number of students that appeared in the jee advanced exam,

----------)  kind of marks obtained by them ,

----------)   toughness level of the examination ,

----------)  number of seats available for the branch you want etc.

But yes,

When we go through previous year trend then ,

>>>>>>>> with 450 ews rank in jee advanced

As per round 6 of josaa counselling,  2020 ,

For electrical engineering

You have chances in following :-

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology , BHU:- Electrical engineering:- 488 ews rank

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology , indore :- Electrical engineering:- 509 ews rank

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology Bhubaneswar:- Electrical engineering:- 771 ews rank

--------------) Indian Institute of Technology , Mandi :- Electrical engineering:- 967 ews rank

And more,

You can check the same at

https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx

Above prediction is on the past year data basis but  cut closing rank for colleges changes every year depending upon several factors so

Please ,please for the last time anyone guide me what to choose between NIT PATNA ECE vs NIT JAMSHEDPUR electrical???

Subhrajit Mukherjee 9th Nov, 2021

Both the colleges are good. But if you want to compare then I would recommend you to go for NIT JAMSEDHPUR Electrical Engineering. The reason behind this is provided below:

  • Infrastructurally both the institutes are good but NIT JAMSEDHPUR have a better maintained lab and library.
  • The faculties in both the colleges are good and there are nothing comparable against there academic criterions.
  • Placement wise NIT JAMSEDHPUR is more likely to provide you a good job opportunity as we can interpret from the past records.
  • NIT JAMSEDHPUR have a better industrial training program than NIT PATNA.

what should one choose iet lucknow chemical vs nit Uttrakhand electrical but primary choice is computer engineering

Sayantika sur 8th Nov, 2021

I think NIT Uttarakhand electrical will be better.Though both colleges are good.IET is more or less a regional college, despite being one of the best in the state. On the other hand NIT, Uttarakhand is associated with the “NIT family” and hence, better.

In case of placements, faculty, recreational facility NIT Uttarakhand is more better than IET lucknow .

In  case of branch it is dependent upto you in which field you want to go .But I think you should go for electrical. Electrical grads have many wide range of options. Chemical  branch is rather narrow in career wise unless you have a huge interest on those subjects. Therefore, it is dependent upto you.

EEE – (Electrical & Electronics Engineering) – Electrical device uses the electrical energy for performing the work and electronics device use the controls the flow of electrons for performing the work.

  • Electrical device convert the electrical energy into other form like heat, light and mechanical and electronic device control the flow of electrons for performing  the particular task .
  • It is full name of electrical & electronics engineering; it is deals with electrical technology and machine, circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetism, electrical engineering material, instrumentation, control system, power engineering and transmission and distribution.
  • Electrical and Electronics Engineering branch deals with Electrical technology and machines, circuit analysis, electronics, electromagnetism, electrical engineering materials, instrumentation, control systems, power engineering and transmission and distribution.

ECE – (Electronics & Communication Engineering) – Communication engineering is belongs to transfer the information one place to other via transmission and receiver.

  • Electronics are deals with Basic electronics , microcontroller , solid state device analog transmission, microprocessor, analog integrated circuits and communication deals with satellite communication, microwave engineering, antenna and wave progression. It also deals with the manufacturing electronics devices, circuit, and communication equipments.
  • It is deals with digital electronics, embedded system, control system, VLSI design, and wireless and radio communication system.
  • Also, it contains basics on electrical machines and more on integrated circuits and communication systems. This branch mainly deals with analog transmission, basic electronics, solid state devices, microprocessors, digital and analog communication, analog integrated circuits, satellite communication, microwave engineering, antennae and wave progression. which is better for electrical engineering between iit ropar or iit dhanbad

Hello,

I hope you are doing good,

IIT Ropar has been growing rapidly in the past and with the new campus ready, things will get better. The placement of the compass is probably good for opportunities in many fields. College life and culture are amazing.

Sure ism is an old known institution but it hasn't grown much. Now that it is iit, things may change. But the previous answer shows the problems associated with it.

I got 1712 rank in JEE mains and belong to SC category from telangana state. I will get civil and mechanical and surathkal and warangal. low chances for civil at trichy, electrical at surathkal and warangal. I am also getting EEE at Rourkela & Calicut. pl suggest which is better. I prefer surathkal.

Dhruv Agarwal 28th Sep, 2021

Hey Aspirant,

First of all,  all the colleges that to out have selected are good . But I believe that when you have a choice between selecting a good college or a good course , always choose a good college because it keeps you in the environment where all people who have scored good and are of your caliber.

Now among these colleges you should select NIT Rourkela , as  it is among the top 5 NITs , also you are getting EEE which is better than civil or mechanical,  also if you want a much better than this , then you can score well in 1st year and your branch can be changed. Moreover NIT Rourkela has the perfect arrangement for the best . They ensure that those who graduate from there are the best of all.

For your further reference I am providing you with a link to predict a college through JEE Mains rank

Im ews girl candidate ,my category rank in jee main is 7578 ,Im from maharashtra, is there any chances to get electrical and electronic communication branch in top nits .

Ashmi Singh 27th Sep, 2021

Hello Aspirant! Firstly, congratulations for your result. With this rank there's fairly less chance for you to get ECE in the top NITs but you may get in lower NITs. However, you can get Electrical branch in the top NITs in the third or fourth round or maybe in CSAB counselling but you'll surely get one.
You can use this college predictor tool for predicting your NITs:
