I got 120000 rank in jee mains can I get electrical branch in hbtu Kanpur

Arhana Chakraborty 17th Sep, 2021
It is very hard to get admission in HBTU  ( The Harcourt Butler Technical University ). Every year the cutoff is change as per performance of jee mains .

As per previous years cutoff it is very hard to get as per your rank. It's better to try another college

Pervious years cutoff for B. Tech Electrical Engineering is around 50000

And for B. Tech Electronics Engineering the closing cutoff is around 45000

So  you can predict your college as per your rank , from below link

pls suggest bits pilani electrical or iit kanpur chemical

pandeyadarsh951 16th Jan, 2022

IT's a tough say between the two you are asking if you are asking about bits pilani pilani campus then its is a tough one to choose first decide which subject you are more comfortable with and choose college accordingly but if you are OK with any subject then the matter boils down to the fact that you want a iit tag or not so in this prospective I would say go with iit kanpur but yes then you would be sacrificing ee of bits pilani so ultimately its your decision but looknig at all aspects and that iit tag i would suggest go with iit k chemical.

what should I take ece Or ee at tezpur university ,which will be better for future Carrier?

Abhishek Roy 26th Oct, 2021

Ideally you should prefer ECE over EE at Tezpur University. ECE is a much student friendly branch with a more relaxed curriculum, besides having excellent career scope and placement prospects across Industry Verticals. Perhaps after BTech, for a strong career in the Electronics, IT, Semiconductor or Automotive Industry, you should perhaps pursue a MTech from some of the Higher Technical Institutions like Top IITs/IISc Bangalore.
