Electrical Engineering
Hi
In wbjee all the seats are alloted on the basis of GMR rank and not your category rank.
This is very difficult to predict which college you will get because cut off keeps changing every year depending upon a number of factors like
--------) number of students that appeared in the WBJEE exam
--------)difficulty level of the WBJEE examination
--------)Kind of marks obtained by the students in the WBJEE exam
--------) number of students from different categories etc
But yes,
With your 30k general rank , considering your category as sc
On the basis of wbjee 2020, round 3 , cut off data , yes you have chances in government college but not in cs/IT, you can get electrical though
You have chances in government college in lower branches like:
Cooch Behar Government Engineering College, Cooch Behar: -Electrical engineering :- 31386
Govt. College of Engineering & Textile Technology, Serampore:-Apparel & Production Management:- 39114
Goverment College of Engineering and Leather Technology, Kolkata:-Leather Technology:- 32291
And a few more
As per 2020, round 3 wbjee cut off available at Official website :- https://admissions.nic.in/wbjeebcouns2019/wbjeebcouns2019/orcr/PrevYearORCR.aspx
To have a personalised report on your chances of getting a college you can go through our WBJEE college predictor, it will give you complete list of colleges which you can get on the basis of the category you belong to, your , your gender etc the link for WBJEE college predictor is provided below

The college you have tagged is in Maharashtra and doesn't accept kcet.
Making prediction is not easy as kcet cut off depends upon a number of factors like
********* number of students that appeared in the kcet exam,
********* kind of marks obtained by them ,
********* difficulty or toughness level of the kcet examination
********* the category you belong
********* number of seats for different branches
As per past year trends
>>>>>>> with your 114786 rank considering your category as general
Yes, you can get electrical engineering

Dear leaner,
Many of us got stuck sometimes about the question, the central government is head department of the all government ,it is a decision maker for whole country , mainly function as finance overseas, commerce, and deals with foreign affairs.
It has power and indulgence to declare a war also .and worked for development of country
And then union government is also known as central government ,another name for this is central government.
All the best.
I am assuming that you belong to general category
With 40 percentile
Your crl rank will be around 613800 - 690000 per our rank predictor at https://engineering.careers360.com/jee-main-rank-predictor
With this rank, your chances of getting a seat in NIT, IIITs or government colleges is extremely low. Even to get into lower NITs you should have got at least around 45000 - 50,000 rank i. e 95.5 - 96 percentile.
You may not even qualify JEE main examination
For example,
In 2020, qualifying cutoff for general category was 90.3765335 percentile
You can check the same at our page the link is provided below

Hello Nandini,
In compare with these NITs you mentioned, DTU is better option for BTech in Electrical Engineering.
DTU is much better options because of their placement stats, location and college life.
In DTU,120 companies took part in the hiring process.
Hope this helps
Congratulations on the rank secured by your son. We know he performed his level-best, but unfortunately, his rank will probably not be good enough to get a seat in either Civil or Electrical engineering disciplines in NSUT, Delhi (judging from previous years' cut-offs). But NSUT offers other disciplines that he is surely eligible of with his rank. Please find attached the detailed cut-offs for all streams for NSUT, Delhi, here:
https://www.careers360.com/university/netaji-subhas-university-of-technology-new-delhi/cut-off
To answer your second question- Drafting a comparison between Civil and Electrical disciplines would not be legitimate. Both of them are core engineering courses and have wide scopes in future if pursued in a dedicated manner. However, in my (an electrical engineering student's) opinion, Electrical engineering has slightly better job opportunities in India compared to Civil. Wishing you luck, thank you. :)
Hello Aspirant,
On such rank it is quite difficult to get electrical engineering in any of the colleges through JOSAA counselling but you can get some other branches in some other colleges.
If we go through previous year's data of seat allotment On the basis of data mentioned in the question by you, you can go for the enlisted colleges for Electrical branch :-
Indian Institute of Information Technology(IIIT), Vadodara, Gujrat - Computer Science and Engineering
Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacturing, Kancheepuram - Computer Science and Engineering
Pt. Dwarka Prasad Mishra Indian Institute of Information Technology, Design & Manufacture Jabalpur - Mechanical Engineering
Indian Institute of Information Technology (IIIT) Ranchi - Computer Science and Engineering
And some more. You can check out previous year's cut-offs from the official website of JOSAA as given below :-
https://josaa.nic.in/Result/Result/currentorcr.aspx
Note that the above list is merely a prediction which has been made on the basis of latest cut-offs available on official website of either JOSAA or CSAB and the cut-offs are bound to change every year depending upon various factors such as the number of candidates appearing in an examination, the number of candidates qualifying an examination, difficulty level of the paper, and so on.
So you can use JEE-Main College Predictor to predict your chances of admission in different engineering colleges of India on the basis of your JEE-Main 2021 result :-
You can also check out the JEE-Main 2021 cut-off and know whether you have qualified for JEE-Advance 2021 or not, so it is given below :-
