i have passed out my class 12 in 2020 so do i eligible for jee adv 2022 ? i hadnt appeared in jee adv in 2020. (according to jee information bulletin one can appear in jee adv for 2 consecutive years)

Atif Ali 18th Mar, 2021

Hello,

If you have passed out 12th then first of all you have clear  JEE Mains exam and only after clearing this you are eligible for JEE Advanced.

Now coming to your question, if you want to appear FOR JEE Advanced in 2022 then you have to appear for JEE MAINS in 2022 too and if you rank would fall among between 250000 rankers then only you are eligible to apply for JEE Advanced other you are not. Yes, you can sit only for 2 consecutive years in JEE Advanced.  Here's the detailed eligibility for JEE advanced

1. Must have passed 12th class with Science.

2. Only top 250000 rankers of JEE Mains are eligible to apply.

3. The validity of JEE Mains score is valid only for the current session. Give the JEE MAINS in the same year.

The exam date of JEE ADVANCED has been released, have a look at the important dates of JEE ADVANCED

Paper1- July 3rd, 2021 Saturday 9:00- 12:00 IST

Paper-2 July 3rd, 2021 Saturday 14:30- 17:30 IST

Abhinandhinee 10th Mar, 2021

Private engineering colleges in India conduct an entrance exam of their own for admissions. They don't have reservations for any category. 82 is a decent percentile but it is mandatory to write the entrance exams. A few reputed colleges are-

  • Manipal Institue of Technology, Manipal
  • Vellore Institute of Technology, Vellore
  • SRM University, Chennai
  • IIIT Hyderabad
  • Birla Institute of Technology, Mersa

and many more. Kindly use the following link which will help you predict the colleges you can apply to using your JEE Mains percentile.

Hello Hitanshu,

The basic difference in M.Tech and B.Tech is in its name itself. As the name suggests, B.Tech means Bachelor of Technology which is an undergraduate course that you can pursue after completing your Class 12. M.Tech means Masters in Technology which is a post graduate course that you can pursue once you complete your graduation.

Hope it helps.

I got 44 percentile in jee main which college would I get ?

Sowmya Konkala 21st Feb, 2021

Hello aspirant,

According to https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp which gives analysis about marks vs percentile with previous year analysis 44 percentile would fetch you marks around 21-30 on 300.As you did not mention your category considering you as Gen student, you did not qualify the exam.according to 2020 cutoff 90 percentile is the cutoff for Gen category student and you fetching 44 means you did not qualify the exam.just qualifing the exam doesn't fetch you seat because the seat cutoff will be different to colleges.you need minimum of 94+percentile for Gen category to fetch seat in some college and to fetch seat in better colleges you need a really good percentile above 97-98+.for more information about the marks vs percentile vs rank analysis you can refer to: https://www.google.com/amp/s/engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-marks-vs-percentile/amp to improve your score in jeemain you can refer to: https://learn.careers360.com/knockout-jee-main-april/

Hope this helps,
