I dont think that any college gives admission in engineering on the basis of the intermediate examination. All the colleges have a separate examination as a reference for the admission into the engineering courses. You will have to give such examination for the college you want to get admitted to.

So whether you get admission to a college will mostly depend on your reservation benefits since we can't assure it with a rank below 8000. If you belong to the general category then I dont think you would get admission in the top notch colleges .
