Engineering Physics
Dear student
Yes you can apply for ISRO after doing engineering in physics. Even you can opt for gate exam also.
Goodluck
Rahul with your 187 marks in JEE Advanced 2018 exam according to last year marks vs rank distribution you will get a rank around 8400-8500 but as this time according to experts this was a flawless question paper with a little more difficult so it is expected that the cut-off will fall down and which will make you get a little better rank with 187 marks. So, you can expect a rank to be around 6500-7000 with this score.
Now below I am mentioning the cut-offs of last 2 years of Aerospace Engineering and Engineering Physics
IIT Kharagpur
Aerospace Engineering
IIT Madras
Aerospace engineering
IIT Bombay
IIT Kanpur
IIT Roorkee
IIT Delhi
So with cut-off variation, you can see that you will need to atleast get the rank in top 3500 in order to secure one of the two branches in any of the IIT. So, it will be very difficult for you to catch up any of the branches.
Feel free to ask if you have any more queries. All the best!!
hello sumit kumar
though it does have some prospect but not in the terms of placements you could pursue research in that segment if you are interested .
hope it helps
Hello Sumit,
Go for DTU. Because:
NIRF ranked it 41 in Engineering colleges and 70 in universities in India in 2018.
Placements in Apple, Adobe, HSBC, Goldman Sachs.
Wider alumni network.
Hey!
It highly depends upon your area of interest whether you are more interested in Physics Or computer science.. But if you want placements, then CS will offer you better placements.
Hope it helps!
Greetings!
So , firstly i would tell you what actually engineering physics is .Engineering physics or engineering science refers to the study of the combined disciplines of physics , mathematics and engineering , particularly computer, nuclear, electrical, electronic, materials or mechanical engineering. By focusing on the scientific method as a rigorous basis, it seeks ways to apply, design, and develop new solutions in engineering.
And as far as the syllabus is concerned , you can check it easily by going through the following link : https://physics.iitm.ac.in/program/3
Hello,
You can refer to the link below for the list of Engineering Physics Colleges in India-

Hope this helps. Good Luck!
The placements of DTU, Delhi are very good. Almost every student gets placed. Top companies visit the campus for recruitment. Mechanical students gets placed in core companies. Average package offered is between 6-7LPA while highest is above 15LPA.
