If you belong to general category then you will definitely get engineering physics in IIT bombay and IIT Chennai.

For OBC it is 150-786 and SC it's 166-579 and for ST it is 201-272 in IIT Bombay. In IIT Chennai for OBC it is 638-1000 and for SC it

See this branch is more suitable for students who love research and is mostly taken up by them. Career options can be at ISRO, Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), and even the National Physical Laboratory. Many go for further studies too. Lots also take up teaching. I dont understand

In order to prepare for physics you can start with NCERT books to make your concepts clear and to make your fundamentals strong. You must solve all the exercise which are given in NCERT books.

After completing your NCERT you can also refer to HC Verma book for your preparation.
