For admission in Delhi University, Class 12 marked are considered. Delhi University announces cut-off for each course in every college for several rounds of admission. For previous year the fifth round cut-off for BA(Hons) in English was 94% for General category and 89% for OBC category in Gargi College.

I m sorry to say but you are not eligible for the entrance exams for MA English in du as its eligibility criteria demands at least 60% aggregate. JNU also accepts only applications of students with a minimum of 50% aggregate.

In Merit-based courses, The admission in government colleges is done through a cut off system.

The students whose percentage of best four subjects matches or is higher than the cutoff, gets the admission.

English is always counted/ taken while calculating the best four percentage whatever course it is.

Congrats on your score. Sorry to say but you have no chance to get in to Delhi University. You need atleast 75% to get into the same. Please try for any Private college as they allow the students with 60% to fill the forms.
