To secure admission in forensic science courses in TVM medical college here are the eligibility criteria:
1. Students should have passed 10+2 with PCB.
2. Candidates must be of the age of 17.
These are the two criterias one needs to fulfill to get admission in TVM for forensic Science.
Minimum educational qualification required is to have passed 10+2 Science stream. Reputed institutes rely on merit based admission process. Such institutes make use of relevant entrance test to select deserving candidates. Some institutes are also known to conduct their own qualifying test in order to select deserving candidates. Some other institutes are also known to conduct direct as well as donation based admission process.

There is a great scope of this course. You can get jobs in both government and private sectors in forensic state labs, central state labs,IB, CBI, mental health facilities, corporate institutes, consultant, and teaching.

It is 2 years in india in any institute. There would be four semesters and the final result would most probably be out after 2 or 3 months of your examination.

Both the courses have their own scope and career growth. But still I would recommend bsc forensic science.
The Bsc forensic science is a three year undergraduate course. It deals with investigation of crimes by applying the scientific knowledge.
The main eligibility is - passed 12th with aggregate of 50% from recognized university or board with physics, chemistry and biology or mathematics.
After completion of this course, the job options are -
1.Forensic Toxicologists
2. Forensic Engineer
,3. Forensic Odontologists
4. Forensic Architect
5. Forensic Serologists.
