which is better to study after +2 Bsc forensic science , oceography and Bsc geology. somebody please suggest the best one and which offers the better paying job

Burhan Khan 29th Dec, 2019

Hello, Divya!

Bachelor of  Science  (B.Sc.),  Forensic Sciences  is a 3-year graduate course which involves the application of  scientific  knowledge to the investigation of crimes. Professionals in this discipline apply their knowledge of  science  to analyze the evidence found at a crime scene.

Oceanography  , also known as  oceanology  is the field of earth science that includes the study of ocean currents, waves, geology of the sea floor, physical properties within the ocean and across its boundaries. In simple words,  Oceanography  is the “study of oceans”.

Geologists  investigate  the  composition of earth materials and various  geological  processes to locate and exploit  its  mineral resources. They investigate  geological  phenomena such as earthquakes and volcanoes and attempt to predict and minimize  their  damaging effects.

According to me B.Sc Geology has greater scope than the rest.

Someone who studies  Geology  will have the liberty to discuss and predict the man-made and natural disasters which are caused. A  geologist  has an important role to play when it comes to discussing and planning the future of our valuable mineral resources.

All the best!

Hope this helps!

what is difference between forensic science in Bsc and MD

Koyel Bagchi 26th Dec, 2019

Hello Arya,

MD is basically a medical doctor and an MD in forensic would work with evidence in the body to determine cause of death such as a forensic pathologist. But B.Sc in forensic can be a chemist , an engineer , a physicist , there are many other fields of study that you can work on as an forensic expert other than medicine.

Hope for best.

Thank you.

what is a good option form the careers point of view, criminology or forensic science?

Pankhuri Kumari 23rd Dec, 2019
Hii Kanchha!
It purely depends on your interest. There's no such course as good or bad. Each field has its own specialities. You have to decide, which field to choose based on your interests. There's no separate course for criminology in india. You have to study it under forensics. You can do a diploma on it if you wish. Criminology is a special branch of forensics. Both the fields if considered separate are interesting. Both offer promising career ahead. Forensic science as a whole deals with scientific aspects of a case such as DNA, evidence, drug, bullets etc., Criminology on the other hand is the study of criminal behaviour. The psychology and sociology of criminal minds. Now, you have to decide, where do you want to be. Hope this helps.
Good luck!
