General Management and Operations Management courses are entirely different.

General Management deals with the continuous process and works with no clear objective.

Whereas Operation Management deals with intermittent process and works with single or multiple objectives.

The Indian Institute of Management, Lucknow is the best school for such courses. There are although other schools like Shailesh J. Mehta School of Management, IIT Bombay and so on.

The general management course is generally a 2 year course which is provided by various institutes like IIT Roorkee and Kanpur at about 3 lakhs for full course, in NITs like NIT Warangal at 2.50 lakhs, NIT Surakhtal, BITS Pilani, Mesra, Jamia Millia Islamia as well as IIMs of course. Yes you can definitely get a call from Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad. There are two possibilities here, in case you are an engineer then you need to score atleast 99.5+ percentile in CAT otherwise anything above 98 percentile should be decent enough to fetch you a call from IIM Ahmedabad.
