Nikki Nair 10th Mar, 2020

Hello  Aspirant

If you are doing Btech from a regular college, and after that you want to do Ms from IIT you will have to give GATE exam and secure exceptionally good marks in it.

As per as gate is concerned it is not necessary that you should give GATE exam only for your respective batch ,you can give gate exam in any branch that you need.

Gate exam consists of both mcq and numerical type of questions.

The exam duration is of 3 hours and there are 65 question in it.

Anantika Kushwaha 19th Apr, 2020

If you have a valid GATE score then you can apply for BITS with your score. However if you wish you can give the BITS HD exam as well and apply with both the exams to be on the safe side.

how to prepare for gate exam( Branch :- cs) , I am m.sc student ?

ADITYA KUMAR Student Expert 9th Mar, 2020
Hello

Follow given below tips to prepare for your GATE for cs branch:-

  • First of all go through the syllabus :- Analyzing syllabus will help you to understand about the important subjects and pattern of GATE exam.

  • Make your own strategy :-You can break your syllabus into sub-categories in each subject . It will help you to prioritize subjects and important topics in each subject .There are few subjects which are easier to score, like Digital Logic,Mathematics and Attitude. These three subjects cover 25-28% of complete GATE paper. Try not to leave these subjects uncovered as they are high scoring and will help to boost your rank .

  • Make a routine or a time table and religiously follow it. You need to devote a fixed number of hours for your GATE preparation and complete it daily; remember, consistency is a compulsion here.

  • Revise :- You need to revise the concepts again and again as syllabus is wide and there are chances of forgetting concepts , so you can make short notes in order to revise quickly

  • Solve previous year question papers and mock test papers ;- You should solve these , it will give you idea of types of questions asked and their difficulty level and will help you a lot.

Good luck for your preparation

Thankyou

is there any whatsapp Group for bhu bcom Entrance preparation?

S. Saha Student Expert 18th Apr, 2020
Joining a whatsapp group won't help you to crack the exam unless you follow some preparation tips. Instead of choosing a random topic from the syllabus, you must break your preparation into sections. Sub-topics from each section should be selected and then strategy on clearing concepts must be made. Never leave any concepts doubtful or unsolved. Start making notes in your own laguage. Most of the content in books are really complex and hard to understand. Making notes will help you to learn faster. Once done with the syllabus and concept clarity, you should move towards solving previous years papers. Give mock tests as much as possible. Time management is one more important thing you should look upon. Remember that practise will increase your efficiency. Some major topics- Accountancy, Financial statement analysis, Business environment, economics affairs, basic mathematics etc.
