Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
There are quite a few Universities abroad that accept GATE score. The number is less. Universities like University of Singapore, the Nan Yang Technology University of Singapore, RWTH Aachen University, Technical University of Munich accept GATE scores. The fees depends on the University you select. Most Universities strictly advise candidates apply online through their official websites.
Keerthana, for being eligible for GATE, you should have passed Graduation in Engineering/Technology. Or alternatively have a Master's degree in relevant subject. Now because B.Sc Computers Science is not an Engineering/Technology degree, you should have atleast a Master's degree to appear for GATE. The GATE examination is jointly conducted by the Indian Institute for Science, Bangalore (IISc, Bangalore) and the seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) . However, these institutes are only concerned with the administration of the exam and not with the setting up of the question paper. This exam is one of honour and reputation because of its linkage with the most renowned Universities and the opportunities and career prospects after the examination.

1)PHD Entrance opportunities: A valid GATE score followed with an interview session could get you into a good PHD course. This course will expand your scope of research, ensure stipend and also give you a benefit of meeting the requirement for the job of an Assistant Professor at the ITI/ISC.

Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) Entrance: The GATE exam has become very popular after the setting up of a highly advantageous recruitment process as numerous public-sector units (PSUs) have signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with theIITs. Thus, clearing the GATE examination opens a direct doorway to government sector jobs. The jobs are known for their support towards higher education, high pay package and the work life balance.
The recruitment stages are:
a) An eligible GATE score of the specific year
b) A Group Discussion (GD)round
c)A Personal Interview (PI).
3) Fellowship Program in Management: Your gate score grants you access to this five year program that runs at the IIMs. This course offers you a monthly stipend and you are not required to pay any tuition fee for four years and nine months. There is also the perk of getting an housing allowance.

Hello rajendra, GATE exam is written usually in the final year of engineering or after completion of engineering. Gate exam has many ways to go to, you can go for a job in PSU or go for higher studies like M.tech in good colleges.

Admission is done based on written test and Interview and all the candidates has to appear for it.
