Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
Gate (Graduate Aptitude test in engineering), the pattern of gate exam consists of 65 questions and for 100 marks with time duration of 3 hours and in 3subject wise manner(APtitude, ENGINEERING mathematics, Core Subjects) in which aptitude and reasoning consits of 15 marks with 10 questions, As of 5 two mark questions and 5 one mark questions. Gate exam have questions in two types which are NAT(numerical answerable )and MCQ(mutiple choice quetions) and the eligibility for gate exam qualfiying degree with 60-70% or pursuing in final year of your relavent degree

see if you want to study in aerospace engineering course, then you need to apply for gate exam from aerospace engineering department, and you need to have a btech degree or you must be in final year of btech degree course in any stream to apply for gate exam from aerospace engineering department.

If you are in Mechanical branch and preparing for GATE, the most important part is your core subjects. Lay more stress on those. I regret to inform you that there are no vacancies for Metallurgical Engineering department through GATE 2020. The only undergraduate core branches allowed are Civil Engineering, Chemical Engineering and Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering and Electronics Engineering.
