GATE exam is a gateway for admission to the various postgraduate engineering programmes offered by the IITs, NITs, IIITs and other CFTIs as well as high pay PSU jobs. Many other institutes apart from the IITs, NITs, IIITs and GFTIs also consider GATE score for offering admission to the candidates.
The following students are eligible to take GATE : Bachelor's degree holders in Engineering / Technology / Architecture (4 years after 10+2/ Post-B.Sc./ Post-Diploma) and those who are in the final year of such programs.
Hello,
No you can't do that. You gave GATE exam this year then you can use that mark to get an admission in this year only. You can't use this year marks or rank to get an admission for coming year. This is strictly prohibited by the board. This will be unfair for other candidates as the pattern and level of difficulty and number of candidates appearing changes every year.
This is simple concept that the mark of current is to be used in the very same year only. It can't be used in the next year or coming years.
Hope it helps!
NO you are not eligible as GATE is only for those candidates who have completed their graduation or in the last year of graduation.
If you are studying diploma then you can give entrance and join any degree college based on the subject you pursued in your diploma.
After completing your graduation or in the last year of graduation you can apply for GATE. In Mean-time, you have to practice well and give your best in the exam.
Hello Harshit,
Yes, you are eligible for PSU recruitment through GATE 2021 if you get good score. But you should also be aware of age limit.PSUs do have age limit which varies from 25 years to 30 years, it also varies from one PSU to another. So you should first verify the eligibility criteria before applying.
Hi Gopinadh, 2nd year is perfect one for starting preparation of Gate exam, for basic understanding and strengthening of the foundations, Electronic devices and circuits by Milliman is the best book you can read, for communications, principles of communications by herbert taub is the best, for signals and systems, book by oppenheim is the best. For LICA, book by Ramakant A.Gayakwad is the best, for AWP, John.D krauss book is the best and other subjects can have any books as reference.
Hope this helps.
All the best.

Yes you can give GATE. There is not attempt barrier or age barrier in GATE. The only criteria is candidate should be in the final year or graduated from a recognized college.
You can prepare well as per your branch and attempt the exam with best efforts such that you will be eligible to get an admission in TOP engineering colleges.
