Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering
hi,
iit bombay is a prestigious colleges to pursue mtech courses. see cutoff score varies year to year and depends on various factors like seat matrix, questions difficulty level, etc. how there is many branches of electronics engineering like vlsi and micro electronics, radio and micro wave technology, embedded system, robotics etc. for st category score above 600+ is safe for being shortlisted.
There is no class that covers whole of mechanical gate topics. The GATE syllabus is adapted from engineering syllabus. So apparently you should not have any difficulty if you studied properly for your time in engineering. But I assume a general case.
The best overall help could be NPTEL. You can find lectures on different topics in Youtube under NPTEL. You can also get notes on pretty much everything from NPTEL app. These are few useful youtube channels.
Heat and Mass transfer (Professor Karthik),
Vibration (Gate academy)
Fluid Mechanics (Tutorials point)
Dynamics of Machinery (Education lessons)
You can find help from archive.arg too. To have good grasp of the topics you want or have to study, these sources can be of huge help.
Hope this helps.
yes gate ranking and score will be provided separately for different branches. if you are attempting gate from mechanical branch, your rank and score will be given as per the score obtained in mechanical branch students.
hope you may understand. for more updates follow careers360 website.
Dear aspirant,
GATE is an examination of discipline. If you were disciplined during your btech course, then prepare for GATE in your third year, you can easily crack GATE.
However, if you are not good with the basics or you are a btech graduate, then now you have to join the coaching. You can do it by preparing by yourself, only if your basics are good.
Few good coachings are:
MadeEasy
Ace Academy.

Yes , you are eligible for GATE EXAMINATION even if you passed your BE , mechanical in the year 2012 as there is no age limit for GATE , also there's no restriction regarding the year you passed your qualifying exam . The only condition to be eligible for GATE exam is that you must have passed graduation in engineering/technology or Master’s degree in any relevant science subject. see it depends on how the difficulty level of question in gate 2020. it is really difficult to predict scores because last year cutoff was really high. around 39 point something. that year 85 marks in gate did not get calls from reputed psus. however getting 80+ marks out of 100 is a really excellent score and enhance the chances for selection in psus.
