There are many PSUs recruiting through GATE and providing good pay scale. Their cutoff vary accoiding to the number of vacancies. Most of the PSUs conduct their separate interview after shortlisting through Gate. Some might not take.

Though the cutoff changes every year depending on various factors, according to last year's cutoff trends your chances to get IITs or NITs are low.
