Graduate Record Exam
Hello Rupma,
Yes, you are eligible for GRE examination.
There is no age and qualification bar to sit in GRE. Students who have completed their undergraduate program can take GRE to get the admission in a PG program. You just have to successfully complete your graduation to be eligible for GRE.
Thank you
Doing an internship is not going to help you in any way towards your preparations for the GRE/GMAT. However, doing an internship will definitely help in building up your profile. Considering that you are taking up these exams, I am assuming that you are looking forward to take admissions in foreign colleges/universities, these institutions give a considerable amount of weightage to your non academic activities. So in order to make a strong profile you definitely need do an internship before you start applying to these universities/colleges.
Hello Mrinmoy Paul,
In order to apply to an institute abroad you will have to give internationally recognised exams like GRE, IELTS, TOEFL and GMAT. However, for management the main examinations you will need to give is GMAT and TOEFL/IELTS.
What is GMAT?
GMAT Structure:
The sections in the exam are:
Examinations for testing English:
These examinations test you in the parameter of reading, writing, speaking and listening in the English language.
In UK you will have to apply to the universities you choose through the UKPASS and then individually apply to each university from their online website portal. You will need to upload scanned copies of certain documents required by the univerities you choose. These documents being your passport, filled masters application form, a personal statement specific to your course, academic qualification, letter of recommendation, TOEFL/IELTS test results.
All the best!
I hope this helps!
Do revert back in case of any doubts.
GRE or for that matter, even GMAT doesn’t check your Grades or is even remotely concerned of how well or poorly you are doing at your current institution. Its just like any competitive examination, you clear the age criteria, pay the money and go and give your best exam on the day. Thats it.
But if you do have backlogs, then those will cause you some hiccups during your admission to the institute you are trying to apply via GRE. So no GRE doesnt care about your backlogs, but your application to the institutions will for sure.

Hello Saran.
The minimum cut off score varies from colleges to colleges. Some colleges take minimum scores and some colleges take high ones. But in average you should atleast score 320 or more in GRE to be in the safe zone, and 161 or more in the quantitative section. Average score in TOEFL should be 90 or more, but some colleges demand lower or higher scores. Along with marks scored, your GPA, Work experience and other achievements add up the chances too.
Goodluck!
Hope this helps :)
