which one is better for upsc BA history honors or Ba program ( history geo political science) I have same interest in both

saheli samaddar 12th Sep, 2020

Hello,

Preparing for civils really requires a lot of time and efforts. So we can go for BA general course because in BA honours course you really need to study a lot. But if you can manage you can do BA hons too. It's completely up to you. Do whatever you are comfortable with .

Regarding the courses both courses are good. You can take either of them. Both courses on Political science and History are interesting and many career opportunities. So do whatever suits you.

Good luck.

can i leave history subject in ias ????

priyaankasarkar Student Expert 27th Jun, 2020

UPSC is a 3 stage   selection process involving Prelims, Mains and Interview which tests your personality test. Prelims has 2 Papers namely General Studies and CSAT.

General Studies has Current Events, History of India and Indian National Movement, Indian and World Geography, Indian Polity and Governance, Economic and Social Development, Environmental Ecology, Biodiversity and Climate Change and General Science.

CSAT has Comprehension, Interpersonal skills including communication skills, Logical Reasoning and Analytical ability, Decision making and problem solving, General Mental Ability, Basic numeracy and Data Interpretation.

So if you look at it National and International History are important topics even in the Prelims. So skipping History might not be a wise decision. You may opt for another Optional subject during Mains but leaving History during Prelims might cost you your qualification for the Mains because at that level, every point matters.

please provide English notes and history notes 12th class

Nimisha Gupta 29th Jun, 2020

Hi,

We can provide you with sample papers but not the notes for any subject. Because the best notes would be the ones that you make yourself. It's not easy to follow someone else's notes, as it can be that they may have written some points which you would not consider while making notes or skipped some points that might be of interest to you. As far as English subject goes, notes are really not a requirement since you should know the concepts of the chapters as they are more important. Also for history it's always better to have your own notes which you make as per your convenience and importance.
