There are six papers in iit jam. A candidate has to select the papers according to his/ her eligibility.

The papers are-

Biotechnology (BT), Chemistry (CY)

Geology (GG) ,Mathematical Statistics (MS), Mathematics (MA),Physics (PH)

The syllabus for biotechnology paper comprises subjects biology, chemistry,mathematics and physics.

See for getting admission in iit you have to clear two entrance exams . One is jee mains and other is jee advance . Firstly you have to clear  jee mains with a good score and than you have to get under 10k rank in jee advance to

IITs general have good placements.  whereas for civil it is generally around 9-12 Lpa. And they do also give high stipend internships.

IIT gandhinagar is really a good place in  terms of campus infrastucture, academics and faculty intercation. The M.Tech courses are also upto standards in terms if new IITs. so you must go for it.

see cutoff score changes every year and it depends on question level difficulty, seat matrix, number of participants etc. see iit kharagpur, jadavpur university does not allow candidates from electrical background to apply for mtech in VLSI and microelectronics, however at this score you have less chances for iits

All SC/ST/PwD students are exempted from payment of Tuition fees in any IIT across India. So they have to only pay the other fees like admission fees and hostel fees and medical examination fees etc. The total fees for a year that a sc candidate has to pay is Rupees
